Stop trying to tar posters with the homophobic brush for a change.

All john is doing atm in my opinion is highlighting the fact he is gay like its the most important thing about him, to me its boring as i couldnt care less who is straight, gay or even duck like.

I find his need to show hes gay by dropping gay innuendos all the time boring and nauseating as i find scottys need to mention how many women he pumps a week the same..to me it shows a shallowness which in turn ends up showing a ****e bb hm.

:clap1: Excellent post

No of course not........

But i was only referring to the fact he was making innuendos to the fact that he was gay, hence the gay innuendos in the title..if i just said johns innuendos then wrote what i did in my first post no one would connect the two.

You would then have had the right to attack me with the homophobic brush as i would have randomly been mentioning his homosexuality without highlighting that he had been coming out with homosexual innuendos.

But as he's gay what other innuendos is he going to make other than gay ones?

I see where the OP is coming from. I've known a lot of gay men around his age behave very similarly, putting on a show about their sexuality. I think it has a lot to do with them growing up and discovering their sexuality at a very difficult time in history for gay people. So to be able to be openly gay, and show pride in it, is a much bigger deal to guys in their 40's/50's than it is to younger guys. And so I think that his innuendo's etc, are just his way of trying to show that he doesn't have to hide his sexuality. That's my theory anyway. It might be grating and annoying for other people, who may not have had the same life experiences as John, but I think I can understand why he does it.

I don't know if you're looking at it a bit too deeply though, like again if we compare it to this forum, men of that age, whether straight or gay(and most of the older men on this forum are straight) seem to love an innuendo

From what I've seen straight people tend to direct the majority of their innuendos towards the opposite sex

I don't know if I'm looking into it too deeply, that's just my thoughts on John because he reminds me so much of guys around his age that I've known. Sure lots of people enjoy innuendo, regardless of sexuality and age etc, I know I do too lol, but when it's excessive (with some guys, you literally can't get a sentence out with some form of innuendo ) I think there are definitely societal reasons why that is.

lol well he would have probably ended up in jail if he'd made innuendos towards his preferred type

Not all of course but I think the majority of people would direct their innuendos more towards their preferred gender

I didn't watch the series of X Factor he was in but I had heard of him, the fact he sold a story to the papers about someone who was supposed to be a friend of his makes me dislike him some what but I'll keep an open mind till I watch more

I dont agree with you so lets agree to disagree on this subject, but lets just hope John has more about him than dropping smutty gay comments for the entire series

Years ago I was in London in a black cab going to see Wogan show being made at the BBC ( showing my age here lol ) sand the driver said "Can you see Frankie Howard on that corner?" Sure enough he was stood on a street corner near Soho, driver went on to tell me how they often took young boys to his home, then picked them back up a couple of hours later, he told me it was common knowledge he was into young boys .......If i had been a driver who had dropped off a young boy at his place I would have drove straight to the nearest police station and reported him
