I think BB should be pulled full stop.

The recent episodes have really highlighted the general problem with BB. The casting has for some time now included a share of troubled characters who quite frankly aren't up to dealing with high pressure environments. It can't be right to create and broadcast a scenario whereby people with serious personal problems are pitted against each in tasks specifically designed to expose these problems. I'm thinking about the food and alcohol issues with Megan. BB casting seriously got the Megan appointment wrong. I think they deliberately create these scenarios without any serious thought for any potential effect this may have on the viewer or the contestants themselves. Some posters are saying its all a bit of fun and shouldn't be taken so seriously but it didn't look like fun when Tiffany was refusing to apologize to Angie and calling her an old bitch. It didn't look like fun with Megan last night. Darren looks like a rabbit caught in Johns headlights. He looks very confused and seems to be putting himself in harms way for a few quid. It is a sad day when such sickeningly contrived and harmful circumstances are deemed to be entertainment and we just lie down and accept this rubbish.

Completely agree with this^^^

Whilst i'm enjoying CBB, i think a rest will do it good, as chuff said we might get some good names in there.

Can I suggest you switch off if you feel so strongly, these people know what they are letting themselves in for and are happy to take the cash, with all the crap that is going in the world worrying about z listers egos being deflated is a long way down the list of my priorities

Unless they are desperate for cash or their agent walks them into it before they get a chance to watch the show. At any rate the z listers are bringing it

If you think that, you shouldn't even be on this forum. This is a BB fansite (hence why it's called "THIS IS BIG BROTHER") and people who say that "BB should be stopped" aren't true fans.

I only joined this forum the other day following the Tiffany/Angie incident and do not intend to continue viewing. I'm not a regular fan of BB but yes I feel strongly about a few things and don't think some of the HM do appreciate what they are doing to themselves. I don't particularly like any of them but as a human being felt some sort of social conscience. There needs to be a responsibility to society in general but this show doesn't seem to care about that.

I am also complaining about the other crap in the world elsewhere.

I think so too. Then with the money theyt save they can have two BB's a year, or even three.

I think there's some fantastic housemates this series.

Why would you suggest they scrap it when so many people are still enjoying it? Do you not want other people to enjoy something if you don't enjoy it?

Why would you want other people's entertainment stopped because you don't like the current set up?

What do I think? I don't think they are a set of utter bores.

Have you considered switching off or watching something that you might actually enjoy?

zakman440 15-01-2016 03:46 PM

In the summer yes but as a whole no.

Cherie 15-01-2016 03:46 PM

Tbf to Chuff they were mostly utter bores a week ago

Why?

Just don't watch the summer version if you don't enjoy two shows a year.

Winston's child abuse claims and the fall-out that followed wasn't interesting enough for you?

It had only just started too, I'm not sure if you watch this regularly but it usually takes a few days for something kick off. It can seem a little boring in the beginning if you're still trying to work out who is who.

I really like the first few days because it gives me a time to pick out who I think will be the ones to watch - oh and when I've done that, a week later I always find I picked the wrong ones.

bots 15-01-2016 04:20 PM

i still maintain that there is nothing engaging about any of this series cast. Nothing to like about, get behind and support. There isn't an intelligent one amongst them which means "entertainment" has to revolve around contrived drama. I have watched very little of this series, so I have effectively scrapped it for this series. Others may enjoy it, and thats fine, but its just not for me.

Briancbbfan 15-01-2016 04:53 PM

No I don't think it's time to scrap it. I really enjoy it actually.

What I will say, is that recently it's become very 'American' styled. There's a huge reliance on 'VH1'/MTV styled reality TV. Between Tiffany & Farrah the last two series have been quite 'trashy'.

Personally, I don't mind that. I really enjoy reality TV shows and I know alot of other people hold this opinion also!

But the level of trashiness it's currently at is off putting for a lot of people which means ratings really are capped at 3m! It's become very drama focused which is focused on a younger demographic! I love the show though and would hate to see it go!

The day CBB goes is the day the whole franchise goes

EspeonBB 15-01-2016 05:07 PM

They're not going to scrap CBB when it's one of C5's highest rated shows

I'd like the summer one scrapped though
