I don't want to sound horrible here, but honestly I can see Angie milking this, just the way she was sitting with John and David Gest in the second clip last night already made it pretty obvious to me.
I really hope she doesn't though, and I honestly do feel for her because no matter how much she declared she hated him they were still married, had a child together and spent a good few years of their lives together. |

Jenny Juniper and Cherie - I totally agree with you both.
This may lower my popularity on here even more, and I am sorry, but - to me - Angie's reaction was totally fake and she was deliberately using this tragic and sad incident for her own personal gain. I am sorry, but I can only speak the truth as I perceive it. I shed a quiet tear for Bowie because he represents a huge part of my life when I was young, and - as with Elvis or The Beatles and others - I cannot ever hear his records without it evoking in me almost tangible memories of the happy times I enjoyed, the pretty girls I dated, and also some sad times. I shed a tear for Bowies passing, but that tear was also for my long passed youth and I thank God for Bowies music so I can relive it in my memory. Angie was married to Bowie and shared a son with him, and Bowie and his music must be a million times more meaningful to her because of that intimacy. Yet, it did not appear that way to me judging by her reaction when the news was broken to her. I KNOW that people react differently to tragic news, but her first reaction was very measured and she bordered on being totally dismissive: "I haven’t seen him in so many years I can’t make a big drama about it, but I feel an era has ended, it’s so very sad,’ Angie said. Then, she buried her head on her knees and seemingly wept uncontrollably but when she raised her head I saw no tears. This grief was repeated in front of David Gest, John Partridge AND the camera but I could not help sensing that this was 'theatrics' rather than the genuine and heartfelt sorrow and grief which even I felt. If I am wrong, then I unreservedly apologise, but her illogical and contrary reaction, and the fact that she elected to remain in the house after such shocking and saddening news, persuades me, that to Angie, this was nothing more than 'deus et machina' a totally unexpected incident which may salvage her personal desire to remain in the house longer if not even win the show, and therefore restore her to the fame which she only ever enjoyed because of Bowie, and which only ever really endured whilever she was with him. |

For me it doesn't matter if Angie's reaction was true or false. History dictates by her actions and words what her position was. Also, by the words and actions of David before he died and her son. So, how she reacted to the news is pretty meaningless.
For me, the producers are milking the death in an unsavoury way. They didn't need to show that trailer, but they did. They don't need to focus on an event that occurred outside the house, but they will. All to try and gain a few more viewers who are only watching out of some morbid fascination. The producers have shown repeatedly that they have no moral compass. They are the TV equivalent of the gutter press. Its no longer a show I want to watch |
They didn't tell her the news in the diary room
Most people seem to have the impression that what was shown was Angie being told of his death when they stated this was done privately.
Come on folks they aren't going to call the woman into the diary room and tell her. I don't even know if they need special permission to show diary room footage, that they have in this instance leaves some ethics to be desired. It seems to me that after she was told she must have gone to the diary room and bb probably asked her if she was doing all right. Then when she got upset they probably called in a couple of housemates she is comfortable with to give her a bit of moral support. Her reaction seemed pretty genuine to me when she was talking to BB, well I haven't seen him for years and then the tears, sometimes things hit you like that, but you know what, it's actually kind of tacky for us to be analising her feelings. She was married to the man for ten years and she literally made him a star. She was the one with the connections. Then he dumped her. They had all kinds of history and baggage that none of us know about, angry hurt people lash out, so lets her cut her a little slack. |

BB would not have shown it IF SHE HAD SAID NO i hope this is clear |

She won't have been told about it in the DR, her representatives will have been in one of the task rooms to have a private chat with her.
No doubt she will also have been advised as to if she should stay in the show or not, or even if she wants to stay in. Once she had made her decision the chat in the DR will have taken place, no doubt with her permission. No matter how it was done, I still find it distasteful. |

Bowie's death is the most interesting thing to happen to Angie Bowie for decades and she's going to milk it for all it's worth. Meanwhile. Big Brother should be hanging their heads in shame at this appalling lack of taste and decorum.

Disgusting.
