It's ridiculous . We aren't allowed to say anything these days with the PC brigade screaming racism over it.

We aren't allowed to have an opinion on the EU open door policy without the PC bunch screaming racism.

Northern Monkey 12-01-2016 09:23 PM

I'm no John fan at all but....

HELL NO!

I doubt it very much. They were more than likely having chicken for tea.Fgs!

Why has everything gotta be an 'ism' these days?

I'm sure someone from an Oriental background wouldn't like being told that all they want is Sweet and Sour because it's just associating something very stereotypical with that person to make an offensive remark (e.g. John Partridge saying all Tiffany wants is Chicken)

Chicken is not just a food for black people if didn't originate from Africa or the Caribbean where sweet and sour is always a oriental food

I'm sure the other day they were on about food and she said she ate a lot of meat?... Maybe she's on the Atkins or something?

It's more often than not the ones shouting PC brigade are the worst offenders of unacceptable language

Well said adam, which makes it even more stupid that reece would associate black people and chicken, unless he sees it with his own eyes.

I didn't realise sweet and sour was just for oriental people either. I enjoy it regularly :)

Ummm @ Africa or the Carribean. No it's just because black people are often associated with chicken a lot and if you haven't heard this stereotype before then you either live under or a rock or are just ignoring it so you can grasp at straws and argue your opinion.

yeah its mainly fried chicken that's the slur, unless he was being sly using chicken so its not obvious, I think hes a dick but I don't really think he meant it like that - probably eating chicken tonight (if they had fish....then that's another story)

It's a common sterotype to say black people love Chicken though

Macie Lightfoot 12-01-2016 09:33 PM

"the people who acknowledge racism are the true racists" "Ken Morley only said a variant of the n-word" etc

We wondered when the race would be brought up just because the the two people fighting happened to be white and black.

bots 12-01-2016 09:36 PM

In this particular instance I think there is the possibility that it was meant in a racist way. He said it with the intention of it being derogatory, and as I said before, its a known and well used racial slur

so would the whole house feel unsafe if it was, say, Megan instead of Tiffany?

I know this it's pointless to even engage in this but why not.

Ia

I think some people don't realise racism has many forms and isn't just someone attacking someone because they're of a different race

I think he was just saying that the only reason she wanted to sort things out with everybody was because she was hungry. Most likely they were having chicken for tea.If they were'nt then yeah i can see it being racist.

Its a known slur, and he was being derogatory in his tone, here is another example ....

http://www.theguardian.com/sport/201...iger-woods-row

Sergio García's ongoing spat with Tiger Woods took an unwelcome turn on Tuesday night, when the Spaniard made what could be interpreted as a racist remark about his opponent.

The Spaniard was on stage at the European Tour's gala players' awards dinner, where he was questioned by the Golf Channel's Steve Sands. García, who has been embroiled in verbal battles with Woods since the Players Championship at Sawgrass this month, was asked in jest if he would have the American round for dinner one night during the upcoming US Open. "We will have him round every night," García said. "We will serve fried chicken."

Oh yeah i know.I have heard this many times.
I just have a hard time believing that John would be so stupid to make a racist comment on TV.I honestly think it more likely they were actually having chicken for tea.

Livia 12-01-2016 09:54 PM

Oh God, I had no idea... I've been eating chicken all this time. I had no idea it was just for black people.
