If you are talking about the edited clip shown on BOTS last nite, it was in the living room AFTER Gemma's eviction, they were sitting on the sofas.

That so called outburst, wasn't what BOTS made out it was, very cleverly edited & completely out of context.
Steph was going on and on about hearing cheers and being saved first.
John just told her it's time for her to stop talking about Jezzer 24/7 & saying she is the most hated woman in the world.
They only have 3 days left before final, Steph should just enjoy it and put herself first. The pampering to her insecurities had to stop & I agree with John with this, Steph is a very needy Woman, not a young girl.

Exactly Papillion, selective hearing and sight is rife on here. The truth really hurts sometimes.

Kazanne 03-02-2016 09:29 AM

I will also say the title of this thread is so misleading,John has NEVER once said he dislikes Stephanie, just her constant talk about Jezza is annoying, that is fact, not some fabricated title to make him look the evil baddie.

I think Stephanie is getting on everybody's nerves in there! :D

They all just want to enjoy their final few days in the house and Steph DOES keep going on and on and on about Jeremy and HER situation, so I could see how that could very quickly become irritating and draining when you just want to have some fun and enjoy the last few days.

They have each all at some point either listened to her, offered her advice in the early stages, comforted her at bad times, supported her when she said she had finally made a decision that she wants to be with Jeremy, offered her further advice after she had made that decision that she should just explain in her interview that she met someone and fell in love and that she never planned for it to happen etc etc etc, aside from some big rows they've mostly been as comforting and supportive as they could be, so what more does she want from them? They just want her to stop going on and on about it for goodness sake!

It's not just John who is finding Steph annoying. Scotty couldn't even watch Steph's electric shock task on the screen without getting annoyed by her (I think because he and a few others felt she was deliberately getting shocked for attention?), Daniella and Tiffany have also expressed annoyance at Steph over the Jeremy thing and her untidiness as has Darren.

I think John is just reaching boiling point at this stage with all the annoyances built up.

That's not to say though that I don't think John is possibly a tactical player. I think Amy Jade and some others theory that John befriends who he believes may be popular - that theory may hold some merit. :hehe:

I don't think he's a completely fake or nasty person at all though, but I do think he's clever and I quite like him and would like to see him do well.

But let's just say even though I believe his annoyance and reaching boiling point with Steph is completely genuine and understandable, at the same time, after Steph topping the votes to save I would not be very surprised if John's anger and annoyance towards Stephanie softens considerably in the coming days.... :hehe: It would be foolish of him if he didn't...

Having reached the final week after a precarious start, John has decided to relax and let his full 3itch out. Stephanie irritates him with her repetitive need for comfort and assurance. He's just letting Stephanie know her behavior is insufferable.

..excellent post as always Peggy.....and I agree with you, I think Steph has got on all of the housemate's last nerve and as they said last night, just so wearing down and of course a few drinks brings out that 'weary feeling' as well, either in tensions/confrontations etc or just uggghh, I'm done with you, stuff.....but of course they can't be done with her because there she is and there's no getting way from it all and on it goes...

...obviously he can only do as well as 2nd place because Tiffany's going to win.....but like you, I would like to see him do well because although he's got it wrong at times and too readily 'followed' in what he's seen as something 'safe' ..I get the feeling that he is someone ..(and for whatever reason..)...who really does feel the need of some kind of 'acceptance', and has given us a lot in his quest for that, some good/some not so good but he's 'put himself out there' for sure...and yeah, I do think that we may see a little warming to Steph over the next few days and that weariness slipping away....but then, we would see that anyway and I think from all of them just because that end is in site and they're all naturally going to feel far less irritable in general with the relief of it all and the thoughts of seeing their families/friends again...I don't mind him, he gave up his career for his mum, has been a comforting voice to housemates at times and seems like an ok guy and I hope that BB has given him a positive experience with whatever he felt he wanted to get out of it....

He went in the CBB house to get the fee for his mothers continuing care,so wherever John comes in BB his job is done, for me he has been the best housemate this year and I have enjoyed watching him.

I agree with this. Given the amount of producer manipulation these days and the variation in fan base numbers before they enter, its not a fair or representative contest. They have done their time, get paid their fee. Thats all that can be concluded from it.

Pink Pegasus 03-02-2016 01:43 PM

I agree with the 3 last posts there from you Ammi, Kazanne and bitontheslide.

Yes he has been comforting to other housemates in there and I too believe that he is a overall a decent man.

The only reason I have the "possibly a bit tactical" thing in my head is because of that conversation with Tiff where he would "neither confirm nor deny" her allegations then asked her did she want to make some sort of deal - whatever became of that? And he does seem to become a little bit extra pally with people who seem to be doing well with the public - but at the same time I guess that the timing could be coincidence whereby he has just resolved whatever issues he was having with particular housemates at the same time that the public had also grown to like them. This could make sense too because - as a housemates behaviour has changed and the public have grown to like them, it's likely that the change in behaviour could also have made John grow to like them too in the house and that is understandable and wouldn't necessary mean gameplaying.

In any case whether that is tactical or an understandable coincidence it wouldn't make me dislike him either way,as he hasn't in my opinion being aggressive or nasty to people in there.

I too enjoy watching him and also hope the fee helps him out a lot with his mothers care.

I would be happy enough with a John, Darren or Tiff win.

John because I find him intelligent, interesting, caring to others when they were seriously down (not just whinging) and overall decent.

Darren because I just find him so sweet and likeable, although I know he has provided very little entertainment wise, but I can't help but like him.

Tiff - because she has probably made me laugh the most.

Whoever wins now, I'm just glad it is not Gemma as I really did not like her.

That is good of him to do that, but I dislike HM's to say they want the money for a good cause. It gives them an advantage.
He must have made little from his career too not to have a good stash put away at his age.

Its not like civilian BB where it could affect peoples choice to vote so the winner gets the cash prize, so I see no reason for any of them to withhold the information on the grounds of fair play

How is it misleading when the title doesn't say John said "I dislike Stephanie"

Cannot stand the guy...

You titled it 'John disliking Stephanie' you are giving the impression he doesn't like her which is wrong, surely you can see that.he gave her some advice so I would say it should be the opposite!!
