I'm confused?

So this is planned instead of having a separate civilian BB and a separate CBB in Summer?

If so, I quite like the idea as a one off series but it would have been nice to have a normal civilian BB with the revamp, considering BB15 and BB16 weren't that good.

I mean I'd really rather they didn't do this but there are worse things.

Well there is the current series of The Voice USA so you have a point.

Natalie. 21-04-2016 02:04 PM

I'd hate this, I just it back to basics

Denver 21-04-2016 02:06 PM

It be great if they buddied up and used ex contestants as mentors

never gonna happen though :'(

Disgusting

Glenn. 21-04-2016 02:22 PM

Logistically it's near impossible to pull something like this off without one of the houses being shunned unless we are getting two hour highlights shows.

AXE Civilian BB and have longer CBB

To be honest i wouldn't mind seeing th back of Civilian Big Brother once and for all.

From the OP:

It's been claimed that this summer's Big Brother 2016 will include celebrity housemates.

Can't they just stop being brain dead and put 16 big personalities in a house and watch them create there own dynamic, which is what made the like of BB3 and BB5 get 5 million viewers.

Cal. 21-04-2016 02:52 PM

We already got celebs/civilian divide in BB16 tho what's the point in having it AGAIN the following summer?

Greg! 21-04-2016 02:55 PM

If this is true then I'd rather they just canceled normal big brother

BlankSpace 21-04-2016 03:11 PM

Is it me or have we seen a few reports about people being going into CBB already? Or is it normal at this stage?

Babayaro. 21-04-2016 03:15 PM

A ****ing mess

supertv247 21-04-2016 03:26 PM

The fact NOW has clearly forgotten about regular BBUK and stated "Celebrity Big Brother is planning a controversial change to the upcoming series that’ll see the stars living with ‘regular’ housemates" made me think... If they done BBUK like we wanted and expected, THEN had this twist for summer CBB (so adding some regular housemates to the usual summer CBB lineup) like what NOW sort of means, I'd be happy. That would be a cool twist on CBB, like Chantelle on a bigger scale.
But absolutely no way should they do this twist in BBUK..

Cal. 21-04-2016 03:48 PM

There's no point mixing BB and CBB at all since they're too seperate shows. The only time they should be mixed is for an All Star series.

supertv247 21-04-2016 03:51 PM

Also, the only 2 times Celebrities have ever mixed with civilians in Big Brother, a civilian won both times. It is pretty obvious who we'd prefer..

zakman440 21-04-2016 03:51 PM

Gven the source is Now Magazine, I doubt anything will come of this.

Welcome to the forum btw Super :wavey:

Marsh. 21-04-2016 03:59 PM

Have they learned nothing from the flop of Timebomb?

Pete. 21-04-2016 04:00 PM

I like this though :suspect:

Its not groundbreaking because this was the premise of CBB4 (producers told Chantelle there would be a mixture of regular and celebs)

A clear sign it's a terrible idea. :fan:

Pete. 21-04-2016 04:03 PM

Anyway

If VTS is used then the celebs will just cruise to the end, so this is flawed in that sense. I doubt this will even be a thing because we have 2 months+ until BB and this is just mere speculation (or have the producers confirmed it idk)

:wavey: Thank you! I've been a lurker for god knows how long, don't know why I never joined until now

Looking at it realistically, I don't think the extension is big enough to be a full house in itself.. so I doubt it'll even be possible to have 2 separate bathes of HMs living in 2 separate houses.
