I doubt there are any little kids wanting to know its just just adults being odd.
I really dont think little kids even think about or care if Elsa is gay, lesbian, hetrosexual.hermaphrodite, bisexual, bla ck,white, fictional, real, disney, pixtar or even from Leeds. They are just a princess.

Why is it sexualising it to have a same sex romantic interest but not if it's an opposite sex romantic interest though? Like the vast majority of Disney princess type films have a romantic male interest (if not all)

It'll be three centuries before anyone is comfortable with a Disney Princess from Leeds

Elsa was not designed to be gay. I dont think it would help throwing gay characters randomly.

But thinking about it more i think it is needed to have diverse characters specially lgbt characters because it is easier to teach people in this way, children will be more tolerant in future rather than lecture them about the subject.

It would be easier for me if i had seen these kind of stuff when i was a kid because i didnt know what this was even, religion said it is a sin blah blah and it wasnt until like 10th grade i found this side of the internet and i was shocked to see people being so open so accepting about their sexualities. It took another two years to fully understand the situation and myself. What was lost? Years of my life.

Things like this are very important to sway opinions in the countries such as east europe countries, turkey where public opinion of lgbt could be swayed little by little if the word of love and acceptance was told smartly. Lecturing people wouldnt help that much.

I'm undecided because I've never actually seen the Film so I wouldn't know if it fits her character or not, or if it's even relevant to the storylines and character development in the Film/soon to be Films.

Well, you could argue that she wasn't really designed to be either in the first film because she had no love interest at all in it. I still think they should leave her without a love interest but they didn't really imply anything at all about her orientation in the first film

Yet straight romances are a-okay? Why is that?

Brother Leon 06-05-2016 09:04 PM

Sounds stupid unless she was originally intended to be gay in the first place or there is a slight indication. I can't comment as I haven't watched it.

You could argue that her arc is an allegory for homosexuality which is probably why there are people who want her to be gay.

I bet you have watched it, BL. I bet you've got a 'Frozen' backpack and Olaf pyjamas.
