Big Brother: 1.39m (7.7%) exc +1

*mazedsalv** 08-06-2016 09:06 AM

Well that's bloody awful.

But expected.

Oaker 08-06-2016 09:10 AM

They tried :clap1:

*mazedsalv** 08-06-2016 09:11 AM

Did they try though? I mean, the promo....

Was awful.

Strictly Jake 08-06-2016 09:12 AM

More than I thought

*mazedsalv** 08-06-2016 09:13 AM

At best, it's like 300k down on BB16 launch

Kai Anders 08-06-2016 09:14 AM

What did love island achieve out of curiosity?

Kai Anders 08-06-2016 09:15 AM

Plus side, it's already 90K up on time bombs dire 1.30m official ratings

*mazedsalv** 08-06-2016 09:16 AM

It's going to be a LONGGGG series.

Especially against Olympics, the Euro's etc... in fact, I can barely watch at how bad the numbers will be!

Excl +1

Love Island: 0.55m (2.7%)

Around 700k incl. Certainly holding it's own.

Anyone else feel like Love Island is a better representation of the Big Brother we all want than the actual Big Brother is anymore? I'm far more into love island than ever before!

I've watched snippets, not my thing really, but I can see that it's captured the publics interest this time. And I can sort of see why.

JohnnyBB 08-06-2016 09:49 AM

problem with 1.3m for launch we know veiwers dip quite a lot afterwards so is this series going to dip under 1 million ;\

RichardG 08-06-2016 10:43 AM

lol how long before they axe it? the hotel inspector is beating the launch night :shame:

Well, we don't know what the +1 figure, with a 1.4m excl it will be a ~1.6m.

But your point still stands, if BB16 launched at 1.8m like it did, and then dipped to 0.9-1.0 the first weekend, then we can certainly expect that this year.

IMO, last night got 1.58m incl +1, and tonight will get 1.21m.

I think they will be similar when +1 is added.

But still, I agree. THI is cheap af.

TomC 08-06-2016 10:45 AM

The Hotel Inspector is a good show! It's a shame but you can't get too hung up on the ratings.

TomC 08-06-2016 10:46 AM

I mean it does seem like the last two really have scared people off tho

if i didn't feel this weird sense of loyalty to the show after sticking with it for 10+ years then i wouldn't have bothered checking out the launch after bb15 and 16 either tbh...

Rob! 08-06-2016 11:04 AM

Erm...I don't really know what to say to that.
I think I'm actually not going to bother following the ratings this year. Especially if it's a good series...which with that figure and the way they chased ratings last year I don't think it will be. I'm actually stunned.

TomC 08-06-2016 11:04 AM

I'm really shocked too tbh

RichardG 08-06-2016 11:08 AM

honestly it's dead  we need a miracle guys

Rob! 08-06-2016 11:11 AM

Like....that's the launch.

Daniel and Jack are going to have strokes when they see this :worry:

Rob! 08-06-2016 11:12 AM

The debate got 4.1m. I dunno how much that would have eaten into BB...it's hardly the same type of audience.
