Leadsom changed her mind only two years ago she was warning about the effects of leaving, at any rate I wouldn't vote for either in a GE, I think Cameron was pretty moderate in the face of what is coming |

So I would have no trust in much of what leadsoms says. I don't like Theresa May but we will need someone with strong Ministerial experience. I don't like how May has behaved as Home secretary but she has stood firm and never wavered off the path she was on. Therefore she delivers. I don't see why there should be any condition other than who is better for the task of ensuring all goes well and gets the best deals possible. I am not that sure a leave candidate would get the warmth from the EU that may be needed. 3 years ago, all except Gove and Grayling would have been for staying in the EU. It was a remain PM who eventually bowed to pressure and gave a referendum, with all the risks that entailed too as in David Cameron. Whoever is best for the task is who should get it and also someone who hopefully can start to unite the whole UK again from being just about split 50-50 really, that is not Leadsom for sure in my view. Gove has been the only solid leave as to the EU for many years now anyway. Boris behind the scenes will be ensuring he doesn't get it so for me May is the better way of having even a small chance of uniting Country and her party over this. I don't really like any of them being honest,I did like Gove until I realised he is likely henpecked and probably has to do all his wife tells him to. Last thing we need now,at this time, is a back seat driver as PM namely Sarah Vine, |
Imagine condemning the lovely Leadsom because she smiles a lot :worry:
When she smiles it's warm and genuine imo and not the usual fake gritted-teeth affair. I definitely don't want Gove now - as well as knifing Boris in the back his campaign has urged May supporters to vote for him to block Leadsom. |
Gove eliminated! :clap1:
May and Leadsom put forward to membership of Conservative party. |

Leadsom has said she doesn't support same sex marriage so I'm Team Theresa at this point

At this point, various forms of torture > Theresa May > chemical castration > Andrea Leadsom
I'd hope that having the backing of Britain First, Nick Griffin and Katie Hopkins would be the nail in the coffin for Leadsom, but it didn't do the Leave campaign much harm in the end |
