Although i do think Andy was a bit OTT i can understand him not been happy at them taking the p out of his engagement to Ed and thats basically what it was. They chose Andy who Hughie has an issue with as seen only a couple of days ago so it looked like another chance to have a go. Some people dont like been ridiculed even if in pretend jest.

I just think that the whole 'engagement' proposal from Ed to Andy was opportunistic fakery - like those idiots who cannot spell the word 'CAT' going down on one knee on Jeremy Kyle.

Vanessa 07-07-2016 06:56 AM

It was just a joke, fgs ! I doubt Hughie and Ryan were mocking Andy. Now they can't have a laugh in there without someone getting offended

...hmmm yeah, the same could be said of Andy's 'pretend jest' of not being keen on his engagement ring though, Ellen...(I'm assuming he was joking as it would be a very harsh/insensitive thing to say..)..so a thing said in jest of something with such meaningful representation ...so he's therefore making up the rules according to Andy in terms of what's 'allowable'../ in ok taste and what isn't...(which is essentially being completely judgemental of others which is often how he's projecting himself..)...

Yeah that was not nice if he meant it, he prob did!
We can all be like that though cant we, find something funny but when its done to us its not so....
I think a lot had to do with who was doing the joking tbh

mizzy25 07-07-2016 07:55 AM

Andy went way over the top. I doubt Hughie or Ryan knew gays did actually get stoned to death in this day and age. there only early 20s so prob pay no attention to news, I know I didn't when I was that age. However Hughie is a bisexual, Irish, Traveller so Im pretty sure he knows prejudice more than anyone else about his sexuality. Andy was just trying to hard to get the gay vote IMO

Patricia4 07-07-2016 08:18 AM

I'm with Andy on this Hughie and Ryan were taking the pi** out of him.

Chero 07-07-2016 09:44 AM

I think that Andy had a valid point, but he way overreacted. Hughie had a valid point as well, but he way overreacted. I can relate to Andy more than the other housemates (even though I'm a hetero woman), but it's more because I don't think quite the same as other people sometimes. He makes a lot of social mistakes, but his thinking is rational, if you know what I mean. I think it's an introvert thing, tbh.

Hughie and Ryan

Robertocarlo 07-07-2016 10:39 AM

Sorry but I think Andy was right. Hughie needs to stop shouting and getting argumentative he's making himself look foolish not Andy.

I haven't heard anyone say he has an amazing sense of great judgement or wisdom, as you proclaim. We that like him say he has his own principles and he is often socially awkward. He's a normal enough, flawed but kind enough soul who is more like the kind of HM you would get in the days when BB was about the diversity of the man in the street and not about dim witted attention seeking fame*****s who flaunt themselves about mindlessly half naked and having sex while looking to see if the camera is catching the moment. Not about fake tans and fake boobs and who can shout the loudest and be the most dramatic in the DR by practically having a put - on nervous breakdown.
He's causing drama but not in the old hat anything - goes ways of recent times. He's refreshingly different and that's why we think he's a great HM. He doesn't have to have a showmance, screech like a banshee, walk around shirtless, or be Mr. Nice Guy who makes it to the end by doing fuke all. He just has to be Andy. :thumbs2:

:cheer2:

It was a pathetic argument all round. Andy was wrong to make it into what it was but it was really about him and his proposal.
Ryan and Hughie are a very immature pathetic couple...their immature joke appeared to mock Andys engagement... I felt for Andy but he over reacted and should have let it play out then have a word with the two dickheads.

Next you'll be telling us that religious headcases don't throw members of the LGBT community from 10 storey buildings either...or take their heads off with swords.

Put your caps away and go and think about what some minorities fight for, and die for.

At least Andy has some perspective about what people should refrain from kidding about at this time. Imagine the reaction on here and elsewhere if Ryan and Hughie had been kidding that they had just drawn an image of mohammed holding hands with a guy?...the whole world would be in turmoil right now, never mind BB and this site.

Does that explain why Andy might not find their prank funny...or would their drawing just be seen as a joke too, if they carried it out?

No. I thought not.

LOL. Overreaction or what :D

I know people do get stoned to death thanks, and thrown off buildings.

However, the delivery of the rant was so ****ing amusing. Sorry if this offends you

Pretty sure it was Andy who started shouting "STONED TO DEATH!! STONED!!!" first but ok

I'm genuinely curious because I just view Hughie the same as he was at the start I honestly don't think he's changed

I really thought Natalie did a lot more to bring that reaction out of people, I could imagine myself losing it when faced with her goading me too.

Another factor is just that I've generally grown tired with Hughie more recently and it's easier to enjoy aspects of someone if you strongly like them, likewise it's easier to find certain things frustrating if you're already getting irritated by them. The thing is here I'm not on Andy's side as I was on Hughie's side previously, this time I'm not taking either side because both sides of the argument did something to wind me up

I do actually understand why he lost his temper this time too actually, I'm just more or less over it, and him, by this point.

I'm rewatching BB17 and i've finally reached this problematic ****e once again. Needless to say Andy was being a grade A twat, regardless how funny it was

Greg! 30-07-2017 04:20 PM

God this has given me war flashbacks. I DETESTED Andy with every fibre in my body (still do tbh).

Dominic 30-07-2017 04:21 PM

Greg! 30-07-2017 04:21 PM

Hardly dragging when he made a right tit of himself and borderline homophobic about it "You can't joke about it because it's been fought for generations!!"

Greg! 30-07-2017 04:27 PM

Andy was just so self-important and snobby. The guy looked down on other people just because they didn't want to talk about Brexit 24/7. Twat
