Its got better though as Tescos and Sainsburys have loads of food she can eat in their "free from" range.

It could be anything, an allergy to wheat, milk, nuts.

Im allergic to chilli seeds, my throat swells and i have to take an asthma pump thing. For years i thought i was dying, then i read it in a magazine at a dentist by accident and put 2 and 2 togther and got tested.
A boring cow:laugh: I'm sure she isn't
And luckily you found out about your allergy

When I am worried I lose my appetite also... food isn't enjoyable and you feel full very quickly and can't finish it.

Sophii3x 12-02-2007 09:11 AM

Just wondering, after I'm sick, which food/s should I try to eat to stop me from being sick again?

lily. 12-02-2007 09:38 AM

That depends on everyone individually I would say. Give it time after you have been sick.. like maybe an hour.. to let your stomach settle down, then try something light. Just a small snack. I can't really say what in particular you should eat, but just don't eat a huge lot or anything which is really heavy in the stomach. Sometimes eating 6 or 8 small meals a day, instead of 3 or 4 regular ones helps as well.

A while back I went through a period of being sick a lot, and because I had done it on purpose before, I thought ppl would think I was doing it on purpose again (which I wasn't). Anyway, long story short, went to the doc, and discovered it was muscle spasms in my stomach and bowel. Causes diarhoea (sp) in some ppl and sickness in others. For me it was indigestion and sickness. I do have a weak stomach, and tend to be sick if I overeat, even yet. I also had terrible morning sickness when I was pregnant (both times). Some ppl just have hellish digestion. You might be one of them. But, you learn to live with it and you know what to eat and how much.

Also, what Sasha said about the food intolerance is something to look into. I don't have that, but I know ppl who have, and it's not always diagnosed straight away, but when it finally gets sorted out, it makes a helluva difference.

Soph, just seen an advert about anorexia on E4 .. There's a serious documentary on More4 tonight called True stories-"Thin" at 10pm, i urge you to watch it or tape it. It looks really good.

Sophii3x 12-02-2007 12:09 PM

I'm not sure if I have More4, I have E4+1 though

Can we remember to keep the serious threads on topic and read the preceding posts carefully before posting.

Also remember it is against the rules to start throwing personal insults around and you will be issued with a warning for doing so. If you have a problem with a post or someone insults you report and don't fight back.

Thanks for your cooperation

Crystal-Rose 13-02-2007 10:25 AM

There was a good one on BBC three the other day about teenagers with eating disorders showing them in this residential place. That might be repeated sometime, i saw some of true stories: thin but didnt think it was very good.

Sophii3x 13-02-2007 06:17 PM

Ant, I saw your post!
It's odd that were kinda going through the same thing
If I eat, I'm sick. If I don't eat, I'm sick.

I don't think so
You will have to re-write it all again I think

Red Moon 17-02-2007 12:27 PM

How is it going Sophii3x?

Sophii3x 17-02-2007 03:40 PM

It's ok thanks Red. I'm trying to eat, but it's too hard

I'm sick about twice a day, but I'm getting used to it.

Also Iv'e had trouble sleeping (I can't sleep till 1-2am and I get up at 5-6am).

Red Moon 17-02-2007 04:36 PM

If that is the case it might be a bit more than the eating.

How is the mood?

Sophii3x 17-02-2007 06:25 PM

My dad just gave me an apple. Only manages to take one bite, so I hope I'll be ok:tongue:

As in mood do you mean how am I feeling? If so... I'm miserable one minute and happy the next:conf2:

Red Moon 17-02-2007 06:41 PM

It will get better. But if you can get up the courage to see Doctor it might be a good idea to sort out the mood swings.

What to do is to make a list of every little thing and take it along and give it to the Doctor. That way you won't forget anything and they can see in a glance things that you feel is wrong.

Doctors are very good, and most them are really good listeners. I find the females ones are better but I have met lots of great male Doctors too.

Sophii3x 17-02-2007 06:43 PM

Hmmmm yea.. I prefer lady doctors, they are nicer:laugh:

Thanks for your help:thumbs:

Red Moon 17-02-2007 06:48 PM

It's okay.... I bet a Doctor is the last person you want to see at the moment.

Good luck

James 17-02-2007 06:49 PM

Yeah, I think the doctor might be able to help, tell you if it is a bug or something like that. I can understand if you're nervous about going... I mean I hate going to the doctor.

Sophii3x 17-02-2007 06:54 PM

I hate the doctors.. they are always mean to me

I went last year because of an ear infection and the doctor said I was wasting time:mad:
