Personally I disagree. I don't think people should be ejected for opinions. If you think he should go then why not Renee? She said the CIA planted AIDS in africa to kill off Africans!

What I did note was that when Biggins was sat in the diary room chair being told why he was being chucked out he himself had no idea why either.

On the DS transcript yesterday he goes onto say stuff about the black people in America.

Biggins: "If black people complained less about The Police in the US they'd be shot less."

I haven't quoted their transcript word for word, but the thread is on DS if you're interested in reading it.

Did I hear right that Big Brother said the comments to Katie happened last Monday?

ThriceShy 06-08-2016 10:58 PM

So why was Katie so upset that he left if he offended her so much?

I guess we'll never know for sure, but his total unawareness as to why he had crossed the line again suggests to me it was the latter, he just thought he was stating a fact.

I think that's what he thought.

It is unbelievable isn't it.

Yep. I guess the comment to Katie is being covered up.

But Katie seemed close to him and expressed her upset at him leaving. So he can't have offended her that much.

Also, if he had said something really bad about the holocaust then why not eject him immediately last monday?

Renee should've been potentially thrown out for her biphobia too.

Tbh too many of these Housemates should've been ejected, there's not many people to feel comfortable rooting for at this point as half of them should've been either ejected, are unlikable, or are incredibly dull, or they're victim chasers.

Because Katie does whatever brings attention to Katie. She was the same pompous self on the X Factor.

Yes, perhaps we'll never know what it was, but if it had been in yer face antisemitic, a big no no on TV, I'm sure they would have kicked him out back then so I conclude it probably wasn't.

Sorry, but could you actually explain why someone should be thrown out of the BB house because they don't like bisexuals?

I don't see the causal link.

Even so I think that his still said something that hasn't aired and never will be brought to light as it'd wreck his career.

The only unaired one is the one related to jews that he said to Katie. I reckon that will probably be pretty mild but they know how much people kick off about antisemitism.

I guess we'll never know as BB have covered it up.

You're not allowed to be so openly prejudiced on BB.

Yet you can spit.

Funny old world, TV, isn't it.

Do you apply this to life at large? For example, if I went in work on Monday and said I wasn't keen on bisexuals, should I be sacked?

Munchkins 06-08-2016 11:11 PM

Honestly I think it's best his comments had been shown in full and he isn't removed.
Let him keep digging a hole, let the public see how deplorable his actions are
The very nature of the public now questioning his removal, and wondering if it was 'just' completely reduces the impact his removal could have had to him, as it appears to be 'injustice'

BBUS a few years ago, had multiple racists, homophobes etc. None were removed, however by allowing the public to see their comments in full (well those who viewed the live feeds) some were held accountable.. or at least humiliated on a wide stage

Is that what Biggins said?

More or less.

In the first incident he said "bisexuals are the worst kind. They are gay people who don't want to come fully out." or words to that effect.

You're so right. I remember, around 15 years ago, Talk Radio did a fantastic interview of a BNP member which was over an hour long. The interview started off calmly enough with patriotic views expressed that seemed quite reasonable, but with some very clever questioning from the interviewer the BNP member ended up losing it big time and ranting racist abuse. Any notion I, and I imagine many others who heard this programme, ever had of supporting this vile organisation were well and truly quashed forever by this great interview.

BB are getting far too touchy trying to suppress the merest hint of controversy by sweeping it under the carpet. I think it's so much better to let bigots and fanatics destroy themselves from their own mouths.

I know im in the minority but i didnt find the spit thing that bad. Id snog her. Bear would snog her. Meh. Biggins probably should have got a final warning instead but his words were bigoted misinformed and stupid enough for me not to care that much. Just. Meh.

So biggins being misinformed about AIDS as a gay man is worse than someone spitting in someone's food?

You have jumped the shark.

Whether bear would snog her or not is irrelevant. She should be booted for the sentiment alone, never mind the actual physical implications.

Is it ok for bear to spit in her food as she would probably snog him?
