Mess. No way it'll keep all those viewers anyway - most people I know were disappointed with the cast.

Jason. 04-01-2017 04:58 PM

CBB18 being awful has probably put people off CBB the same way BB15 did with BB during BB16.

I'll still hold out calling it a flop though. I remember most people were alarmed by CBB17's low figures during the launch and first week (especially when compared against CBB15's high figures the year before) yet the ratings slowly increased each week and were sometimes on par with CBB15's during the second half.

tv ratings on the whole for every show are falling, i'm quite impressed that season 19 of a trash c5 show can still pull in 2.3m viewers lol

Channel 5 (exc. +1):
Celebrity Big Brother: 1.77m (7.9%)

In Therapy: Coleen Nolan: 0.70m (4.4%)

I think that's OK?? I only follow officials tbh so what is that likely to translate too? Along with +1?

It's one of the smallest drops from launch to 1st show. Example last Jan went from 2.80m to 2.19m, last summer went from 2.36m to 1.6m.

This looks to be around 1.9m with +1 (and officials last year were adding on average 500k so around 2.4m officially I'd guess)

I still maintain if Speidi wasnt there that it would be watched by more.

I doubt it. Considering the series they were in was higher than CBB8, CBB9 and CBB10 and at the time was the most watched series until CBB13 on C5.

Speidi makes no difference to the viewers IMO. Most people will not give up a show based on one HM.

There are quite a few, including me, that feel its going to be much of the same old crap as they dont know anything else. They work from a pre determined script and allready knew who was going in which isnt true of anyone else so why are they being fed info if it isnt to design a script.

I cant look at the tv without wanting to punch his silly little ****ty face and that gets my goat. I actually switched off halfway through last night when he was going at Stacy. So predictable.

If they want the launch ratings to be high the full housemate list needs to be kept away from the press. The fun about launch night is that you don't know who is going to be revealed, once you take the surprise away the magic is gone and it is just 14 people taking 7 minutes each to be introduced and walk in the house. It feels very drawn out and gets quite boring.

I could probably sit at the end of my street and watch people I know walk in or out of a house every seven minutes.

Celebrity Big Brother: 1.9m (8.6%) including +1

300k higher than last summer, but 300k lower than last January's 1st show.

Ratings mean nothing these days

When do we get officials?

Will. 05-01-2017 03:06 PM

That's not that bad, only 200K off of last years equivalent.

Will. 05-01-2017 03:08 PM

CBB17:

Launch - 2.8M
Day 2 - 2.19M
Day 3 - 2.04M
Day 4 - 1.8M

Cal. 05-01-2017 03:14 PM

Oh they're not too bad then.

This is good, as within the past year consolidation figures have continued to rise, which means it'll end up closer to CBB17 than 18 in officials.

Jake. 06-01-2017 09:04 AM

CBB: 1.73m (7.5%) excluding +1

sampvt 06-01-2017 09:20 AM

TIBB seem to be the only forum promoting good results to viewing figures, all the rest seem to think its dying a death and this series might be the worst for a long time. I do know one thing, if they keep on with these lame brain american driven storylines, the brits will tune out. Im not bothered about the bloody Kardashians, I want to see action relating to the characters in there now. Its a Brit show, not an american one.

*mazedsalv** 06-01-2017 11:55 AM

There was a climb last night as it added a significant amount on +1.

Last night CBB averaged 2.0m (8.5%) incl +1.

Rob! 06-01-2017 12:01 PM

So how's it doing in the grand scheme of things do you think Salv? Certainly not at the dizzy heights of previous January's but at the same time not a complete disgrace.
