"I think you are completely wrong to think that. It is an abhorrent thing to think." - Not bigotry.

"You only believe that because you are too stupid to understand, if you were smarter you would get it, and I don't converse with stupid people." - probably bigotry.

The dismissive term "Loony Left", for example, is a lovely little self-contained example of bigotry.

paul nuttall is a good pick for ukip, he is a working class lad, and the media, labour supporters, the left-wing, must realise that ukip are the main party for the british working class voters if you like it or not, if parliament does the most anti-democratic thing and blocks article 50 or refuses to free britain from the shackles of the EU, then nigel farage will be back to lead the party for 2020, the blocking of brexit would mean the main parties would lose the majority of their seats in parliament, you would end up with a ukip-tory coalition, or a ukip cabinet in number 10,

he did however lose someone he knew and he was there. all that is a some wrong wording on his website

but feel free to spread fake news

King Gizzard 14-02-2017 01:56 PM

Fake news? :joker:

he admitted it himself. Twice he's said he lost "close friends" and when called up on it forced to admit he lost someone "he knew". Much different from "close friends". All for political gain. Disgusting

just a mistake easily made and not sure what evidence you have for "political gain"?

seems that is what you are intent on doing, from the deaths of others

shocking

Nuttall also repeated the claim in a second blog post where he attacks the Conservative government for reportedly seeking to block the release of information about the tragedy.=

liar.

The MEP said local people would be "disgusted by these cowardly moves to hide the truth," about the tragedy where "96 Liverpool fans including close personal friends of mine lost their lives."

they were friends but perhaps in the heat of debate he said they were close, death can have that effect. Poor guy was there that day, you were not, leave him alone with his grief

Withano 14-02-2017 03:16 PM

This man has accepted he was wrong, theres really no need for Team UKIP to defend him after he admits his mistake. He used it as a deliberate attempt to further his argument, that is sad, and Nuttall knows this.

(Did he apologise or only admit?)

Kizzy 15-02-2017 10:31 AM

This just in....Labour win Stoke! :hehe:

Maybe that's why the suicide rate is so high, and there is no money for mental health.... because not enough people recognise it as important?

Well he's forced the resignation of a Ukip press officer for misrepresenting it so he's trying to wriggle free from any accountability

Similar to how he claimed he knew nothing about the false claims on his website that he had completed a PhD or played professional football

This is a guy who used to write a column for the Sunday Sport so not surprising he has employed some fabrication in his time

It was his PR embellishing (its her job) and probably not understanding the gravity of the distinction. She offered her resignation. End of story

arista 16-02-2017 08:42 AM

So he was also not aware of a BBC article quoting him saying the same a year earlier back in 2011?

Quote:

Paul Nuttall’s press officer offered her resignation over the “close personal friends” claim she is said to have written on his website in 2012. Yet that was not the only time Nuttall’s name was associated with those words. In August 2011 the BBC quoted him making the same claim – apparently taken from his press release:

https://i0.wp.com/order-order.com/wp...40%2C272&ssl=1

So twice Nuttall’s team wrote statements claiming he had “close personal friends” at Hillsborough, and one of them was published by the BBC. And Nuttall says he knew nothing about it…

who is to say that article quoted him correctly, its just someone hearing something and then typing it up later?

Kizzy 16-02-2017 07:19 PM

Maybe it's just an alternative fact?
