But yes, also remember you can't transfer the same apps from your iPhone to a Samsung but I think you can do it with pictures and also you can just put all your stuff safe and backed up onto iCloud/your comp and start afresh with your Samsung.

The thing I'm a bit irked about is the fact that the 5S from now won't have a very long shelf life, but the S6 is still going quite strong

then the s6 seems the right phone for you
