Did anyone watch it yesterday? (me thinks Becca did!)

It was fantastic. The witches scared me though!

MarkWaldorf 08-04-2007 09:28 PM

I did, I missed the first 8 minutes so it was a bit confusing, but it was a really good episode.

Sophii3x 08-04-2007 09:31 PM

It was brilliant. The effects in the end was amazing!
Shakespeare was funny.
Iv'e been teasing my mother all day today, saying that I'm going to steal her hair, put it on a voodoo doll and 'drown' her!!

Ruth*Star 08-04-2007 09:41 PM

i loved yesterdays episode. the witches faces freaked me out.

Sophii3x 08-04-2007 09:49 PM

OMG I know! And in the end when they were cackling.. Arghhh stuff like that just scare the hell out of me!

BigSister 08-04-2007 10:10 PM

Corkie 14-04-2007 01:54 PM

Tonight is the 3rd episode of the new series and looks to continue it great series so far. Cat people return... and traffic jams have got to big for there boots as you stay there for years on end.

Note: This episode might be delayed for next week if the football goes on for extended time (lets hope not)

MarkWaldorf 14-04-2007 02:41 PM

Yeah, let's hope it doesn't run into extra time. As if it doesn't cause as much trouble to the TV guide as it is.

James 14-04-2007 02:58 PM

I liked the witches and Shakespeare episode - it was good fun. When I was young I thought the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz was really frightening and witches still creep me out a bit. :pat:

Lol, I'm reading a book about the wicked witch. Titled "Wicked"

But I used to afraid of dummy's (like dummy's in shop that you put clothes on) My theory was that they came alive at night... so the first episode of the new docter who first series has exactly that so it was bit creepy for me...:pat:

BigSister 14-04-2007 07:23 PM

im glad that it didnt get extended ive taped it though so im going to watch it soon

Ruth*Star 14-04-2007 10:00 PM

MarkWaldorf 21-04-2007 07:31 PM

It was really good, can't wait for next weeks!

~Kizwiz~ 21-04-2007 07:40 PM

I am really enjoying this series of DW. I thought that because Rose wasnt going to be in it it wouldnt have the same spark but Freema Agyeman is doing a stirling job as Martha.

BigSister 21-04-2007 08:21 PM

OMG human daleks

James 26-04-2007 07:53 PM

I thought that Dalek episode was the worst of the series so far... nothing much happened I didn't think. But it was a two-parter.

Good series so far though.

nodisharmony 28-04-2007 05:46 PM

I have just watched it and I have to tell you some terrible news.

All the Daleks have been exterminated except one.

That Dalek escaped, so I imagine that this Dalek will come back and the superior intelect of this Dalek will be able to make more Dalek's.

Dr Who has failed, even though he saved the day.

It's great stuff, even though it can be over the top an too unbelievable at times.

Doctor Who won 8 awards at the Bafta Cymru Awards.. YEY!

Quote:

Dr Who sweeps Bafta Cymru board
The Doctor Who show has cleaned up at the Bafta Cymru Awards for the second year running, managing to win in eight of 13 nominations.
Actor David Tennant, who plays the Time Lord, won best actor, with lead writer Russell T Davies best screenwriter.

Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood won four gongs including best drama series and best actress for Eve Myles.

Both programmes are made by BBC Wales. Controller Menna Richards said she was "very proud indeed".

Doctor Who's success was even better than last year, when it won five awards.

Its accolades this year included: best lighting director - not camera; best editor; best original music soundtrack; best make-up; best costume, and best director: drama.

Sci-fi thriller Torchwood also picked up best director of photography: drama, and best design.

The programme's success rounded off a night which saw BBC Wales pick up 24 Bafta Cymru Awards - more than any other broadcaster - at the Cardiff International Arena on Saturday.

Documentary series Tribe won two prizes, with Iolo's Welsh Safari awarded two, including best on-screen presenter for Iolo Williams. Coast picked up the award for the best factual programme.

Other BBC Wales winners included Taro Naw in the best current affairs category, and the OB team for its live coverage of the Royal Opening of the Senedd.

Menna Richards added: "Congratulations to all of the winners.

"I'm very proud indeed of the success of all those who've made such wonderful programmes for BBC Wales.

"It's great to see BAFTA Cymru recognising the talents of all those who make programmes of the highest possible standards."
