I've heard there's occasionally some slight issues with FR but nothing too bad, that was just in a Zelda review I watched though so I'm not sure what it's meant to be like generally.

I'd have got Snipperclips, Bomber & Zelda if I was getting one on launch. Going to wait until Summer now, when all the good indies are coming out and Mario Kart (even if Mario Kart is next month)

I wouldn't even consider it... Unless it gets a Mario Party... Then might get it for some family friendly multiplayer.

I mean I have loved Zelda in the past but not enough to justify the price of a whole console. I'll just play it in 10 years when I can get both for like £50 :joker:.

What's the battery life like?

The controllers last for ages (like 20 hours apparently), can't comment on the console when it's undocked but people are saying between 3-6 hours depending on the game you're playing and so on

Ok so snipperclips is actually very fun

I'll get it later in the year, Zelda is tempting but there needs to be a few more games I want before I can justify buying it.

I picked it up here in Canada on launch.
It is an amazing console so far imo (I was having doubts going into it - I feel like I'm pretty unbiased as I did not buy Wii U until 3 years later on sale and was still not too impressed)

Zelda is amazing! It is definitely not your typical Zelda so don't get disappointed from less creative bosses, heart pieces etc. however the beautiful open world and side quests make up for it ten fold. I tested it and did not have issues with my left joy con, even when using motion control behind my back.

And those of you who are considering getting it in a few months I think that's smart if you're not a Zelda fan - There will be more games like Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, Arms, Splatoon 2, Fire Emblem Warriors and a bunch of indie titles.

I'm just cheap now lol. I'd get it for Zelda and Snipperclips alone. But yeah I'm looking forward to Arms & Spla2oon.

why is the wii u still the same price when it's been discontinued :s

I'll probably get it when Splatoon comes out, Splatoon, Mario Kart and Zelda will be enough to justify buying it.

i would be interested in playing splatoon but paying to play online on consoles is trash i don't even sub to playstation plus i'm not going to sub to this

i'm kinda intrigued by the switch but the console price + no games with the console pack + pay to play online + £75 to buy additional controllers for local multi... no. my student loan does not stretch that far. :laugh:

So my sister got her Switch through yesterday and BOTW is stunning in every sense, the Switch itself is a very nice piece of kit, but I can definitely see some flaws which will become more of an issue as time goes on (scratching when putting in it the dock, difficult getting joy-cons on and off). Once those are fixed, and there's a bit of a price drop, I'll be right on it (I've already bought Yooka Laylee for it so it's an inevitability right now)

Already finished the single player stuff on snipperclips :laugh: good game, though

I've heard some pretty bad things so far about the build quality so far, dead pixels, scratches on the screen on day one, the joycon connectivity issue (which apparently is cause the antenna inside it is positioned wrong?). Seems best to wait until later this year at least, when some of these hardware issues, hopefully, will have been fixed. The whole build quality seems really bad though, as if they farmed it out to the lowest bidder.
