But doesn't "gamer" mean someone that's into videogames? Spends a lot of time in their room or someone who likes sci-fi (a bit like the characters on the Big bang Theory). So, that in itself IS diverse. When was the last time?

I don't think "gamer" has anything to do with "playing tactical games".

They say "from gamer...to game for it"

Cal. 20-05-2017 02:06 PM

Jason won for being a game player so it wouldn't surprise me if they put in some US format fans like Andrew again.

It was probably a one off anyway because he was only popular with the FB cat ladies who wanted to shag him/see the back of Lateysha anyway so voted for him to win on the grounds he was a game player.

If any female went in there trying to play the game she'd be called a game playing manipulative cow and be out by Week 4.

Benefits documentary teas

Lets not think too much into it

I don't think they will have those "have not" challenges from overseas. Remember when we heard them say "where is the live feed?" in the BB17 trailer promo...:joker:

Seems like it.

An impending task where housemates have to visit BB's Job Center for coupons to BB's Food Bank in order to eat for the week?

I mean, the idea probably was, that they would get twice as many auditionees because, you know, they hardly get any.

The lack of correlation between "gay man" and "game on" would be fitting to the theme, given that an eagle in a kilt and a teacup with legs have no correlation with the "Best" of Britain (haw haw stereotypes yeah, but why the legs and bird head.... I'll never get it)

Cal. 20-05-2017 05:14 PM

Mess I didn't expect it to be scrapped I just thought it had been underplayed since they'd decided to play on the election instead for promotion. I thought earlier they might split the pairs up and pair them with someone whose their complete opposite on launch night but now I think it'll be like 12 single housemates and then 3 pairs.

well it makes more sense tbh. How many gay strategists has BBUK seen?

The phrasing of "I'm a gamer" is just... weird. Makes it sound like they're playing Halo and COD on the daily (and if that's what they meant, then wow... very diverse, what a defining characteristic). It makes me realise why we call them gameplayers. "Gamer" just makes them sound like an obnoxious teenager, not a tactful housemate.

I thought you could only audition in pairs this year so shelving it would be kinda pointless?

It's almost as if most of the housemates nowadays don't actually audition
