I know her tan is too dark, but I think Isabelle is alright. The lads of course will make fun of her. Urgh, nasty twats!

The tan is abnormal in your opinion.

Isabelle has stated categorically that she is happy with it. So why can't they leave her alone?

SteveG2688 22-06-2017 01:11 PM

Her tan is awful but i wouldn't say to a stranger that they need to tone the tan down. Its really rude and uncalled for to start on a strangers personal appearance. f it was a mate and you mention it fine or if they ask your opinion but other then that, no you dont do it. Its really rude.

Crimson Dynamo 22-06-2017 01:27 PM

i dot think they could help mention it

its like she had blacked up for a an ep of It Aint Half Hot MUm

I'm sure they will. If they continue to question her on it, I'll join your side of the argument. You cant ignore the elephant in the room!

Lotan and Joe are dicks, but their questioning here was fair.

So you believe that slating someone's appearance is ok in certain circumstances? If a woman walked in with fake massive tits would that be a fair target for the boys?

Im genuinely interested in your opinion here. I am not sure if you are serious.

People question Chanelles surgical procedures all the time  people are interested in body modifications. The more bizarre, abnormal, and unavoidable body modifications get, the more acceptable it is to bring it up in conversation imo.

As far as fake tan goes - you can not get any more abnormal. youd have to compare the scenario to the worlds largest surgical breasts for the comparison to work, and yes id imagine the person with the worlds largest surgical breasts receives regular questioning about them (think she was on This Morning the other month answering questions about them from Phil and Holly actually).

Oh no wait, it was just a really tanned person that happened to have large breasts. Point accidentally proven.

We aren't talking about questioning. It's the snide gossiping about her appearance behind her back.

But you seem to think it's fine. Each to their own.

Tbf they said it to her face too and were slated for that as it was 'nasty'

So...of course it will be mentioned as its obvious and very in your face, so should they be bitching behind backs or saying it to her? :suspect:

Both are nasty, or are we now claiming that slating looks to someone's face is somehow noble?

Why would you slate the appearance of someone you just met? Where do you draw the line? Are disfigurements fair game?

Did you just compare a fake tan to a disfigurement lol.

Raph, Kieran, and Rebecca also discussed her tan behind her back onscreen - the rest of the house probably discussed it offscreen. Like Ive said, there are reasons to dislike Lotan and Joe, but this shouldnt be one.

No.

Are disfigurements fair game? What about acne? Hair loss?

I'm just trying to gauge how far Lotion's fans would go to defend him.

Idk, Lotans my least favourite housemate by a clear mile. Joes my 3rd least favourite. None of the things you mentioned are similar to fake tan (obviously)

You just said the problem was them talking behind her back :S

Pointing out something as obvious as that tan, and questioning it I really do not see as a problem. Especially as she was taking the piss out of her own tan a few mins earlier in the task.

Genuinely do not understand why some people are so wound up by this. Lotan and Joe have many faults, but this seems a bit of a daft reason to egt worked up about. Isabelle didn't care either

To answer your final question, if I met someone who had overdone the fake tan to that extent then yes I probably would mention it. Especially if I had been drinking and the person had already been talking about it. I don't understand the comparison with disfigurement? I guess my line would be ridiculous self inflicted things (an example given earlier...oversized plastic tits) are fair game. Much like those idiots who are injecting dye into their eyeballs to look like aliens, I would DEFINTIELY talk about that. Disfigurements..no. Assuming you mean actual disfigurements rather than overinflated ducklips, the stupid new eyebrow trend and stuff? Eg. A burnt face from a fire or something. Of course I wouldn't mention that unless the person themselves brought it up

Vicky. 22-06-2017 07:08 PM

Ohhh I see (saw that post after I had posted my reply just now)

I am not a Lotan fan. I have no fave tbh though am liking Hannah and Savannah right now.

I understand now that the problem is because it was Lotan that said it and some do not think he is the devil incarnate for mocking a very silly looking tan.

It doesn't matter what you subjectively think is similar to what. There is a basic level of manners and decency that most people have that prevents them slating the looks of people they have just met.

y.winter 22-06-2017 07:50 PM

Tbh, you can't look at her and not question that horrid colour.

Regardless, the boys are awful anyway...

ThriceShy 22-06-2017 08:10 PM

Lotan at it again. Calling her orange the next morning. His barnet is far more ridiculous than her tan.

If it doesnt matter, then why did you ask me multiple times about them lol.

Manners does not cover ignoring a person who has painted themselves head to toe in any non-human colour imo
