I cannot remember her saying that, surely BB would not have stood for that and if they did they shouldn't have.

However, Lotan made a sustained attack on Isabelle, which went on for days until he was ejected. He also incited others to do the same by trying to isolate her. He wasn't ejected for what he said, it was his potentially violent behaviour which was escalating when things didn't go to his liking which was his downfall.

He was the architect of his own demise.

This is a thread about Lotan. Of course he's on people's lips.
"Taken deadly seriously" I mean, he did threaten to destroy someone....

Did anyone make any comments about him being a man though? Joe clashed with Rebecca and he wasn't labelled misogynistic. Why? Because he didnt make comments about women during the argument.

Is it really? Never would've guessed from the title.

Chanelle came out of the house a few days ago, hon, so hardly the same as discussing someone who came out almost 5 weeks ago and you still persist on entering threads to discuss him. I wonder how he would feel about you and your unhealthy obsession with him.

The only argument Joe was involved in was the one with Rebecca where he said her smile annoyed him and she flew off the handle. He wasn't labelled a misogynist because he could hardly get a word in edgeways for her screaming at him and bringing his daughter into the discussion, but he would've been if he'd stayed much longer. Bringing children into arguments seems to be a regular occurrence with some people... something Issy also did, but apparently, that's ok according to some.

He became respected and the alpha male because he had good advice [kinda similar to Deborah as a female figure later on in the season]. He was also an entertaining character. I admit I didn't like how he treated Izzy and he got a bit cocky [but as did Chanelle when popularity hit her, so its not much different].

As an actual Housemate though he was largely responsible for one of the best weeks of big brother, and like Isabelle helped cement a divide and caused a really interesting week of big brother. The divide was so interesting to watch I thought, and as soon as Lotan left possibly the most boring week of big brother occured and the highlights typically existed. The following week was then just Smellie. As a housemate he is very much underated, as a person however I didn't really like him, but hes really not as bad as people say. Everyone has been aggressive in that house, and he also made Isabelle really likable, and was responsible for a really interesting voting divide even with the british public [Pro Isabelle or Pro Lotan/Anti Isabelle - which was interesting to watch]

Totally agree with you the series lost something for me when he and Rebecca were eliminated and sorry but if it wasn't for Lotan Isabelle wouldn't have won

I think it;s gas that Lotan fans don't acknowledge he's a bully when even his own mates in the house said it:shrug:

Nobody in that house has any true friends, not when there's a big pot of gold at the end of it.

DanielM787 30-07-2017 08:06 PM

He wasn't a bully at all ,he was oversensitive about his private life , nothing wrong with that . He was probably not in a good place with his partner or not seeing his child so anything said like Isabelle said would be heightened, so he overreacted but he wasn't a bully and that is not why he went.

 Do you think if we chucked the word "misandrist" around a few times at women like Chanelle, it'll stick? Let's have a try, shall we? :joker:

JerseyWins 30-07-2017 08:13 PM

Nah not underrated but far from the worst. He wasn't exactly entertaining or a likable person though.

However, to be fair the season was a lot better while he was in there and I'm not sure why because again he wasn't very entertaining and actually strived to be the voice of reason and to prevent drama/entertainment, etc.

I'm not sure if she also said it in another situation with Lotan as well but I remember she said she'd kill Kayleigh after their argument when Kayleigh got expelled.

Unbiasedly speaking, Chanelle was at least 10x more vile than Lotan with the sh*t that came out of her mouth all season.

Isy won because of her selfless acts. Nothing to do with Lotan.

I love how Chanelle's comments were excused as a joke but everything Lotan said was taken deadly seriously. lol

I wonder if we should put labels on the same women who shouted and screamed at him and called him disgusting names. Does that make them a bunch of misandrists too?

As usual, one rule for certain hm's and another rule for one they don't like.

I had grown to like him, Nancy, but his actions changed my feelings and meant that he lost my support.
