not to sound dumb or anything what is a 5? never heard of this on grades

Basically they're getting rid of A-G and slowly moving in 9-1 with 9 being higher than an A* and 1 being G.

It's basically;
9 - A**
8 - A*
7 - A
6 - B
5 - High C
4 - Low C
3 - D
2 - E/F
1 - G
U - U

They're starting with just maths and English but next tears set of GCSEs will have it fully incorporated. Experts say we have had the hardest exams since 1980 too.

God knows how I passed maths I put zero effort in
