Don't recall him ever being this negative though. In previous years he's blamed the mistakes on them or the production. This year he's laying blame on the actual show and the fact he's comparing it to Love Island is worrying.

Haven't heard them rumours before, but hope it's true.

They should renew it for 2 years, MOB will air straight after CBB and then in those 2 years it will give it time for an audience to build up who will watch it regularly

Yeah I did think it was a bit odd that he's said "I'd rather we didn't have it" rather than just saying he was going to axe it.

I just wish he'd bloody hurry up and tell people outright if it's being axed or not. It's not really fair on Emma and Rylan and the hundreds of people who work on the show. Also if it's being axed I want them to have a lot of time to prepare for and book people for UBB2

If Endemol had any sense they would pull it away from Channel 5. The producers are butchering the show. What other channel is going to want to pick up a show that has been axed twice from 2 different television channels? Get in there first and pull the contract away from them.

No bloody wonder when he puts it on at half 8 one night at half 10 the next night. This summer CBB is doing exactly the same as last year bc it's on at a consistent time. BB17 was also on at a consistent time and had decent ratings.

Not when it can go from 1.6m to 1.9m
Then 1.4m to 1.6m

And when two CBB’s have averaged 3.1m

Hmm the only reason Love Island is popular because of word of mouth and internet memes, nothing to do with the format! Love Island is a trend, like chinos were, but Big Brother is an established fashion brand, like Chanel.

The only other reason I ever watch Channel 5 is for the Hotel Inspector, so if they want their "own shows" like Flop or Break and Benefit programmes, they can dig themselves their own graves. Who even watched Channel 5 before it got it's hands on Big Brother? All they ever used to show were crime programmes like CSI and NCIS.

I didnt, actually i did briefly for a few weeks while they aired Once Upon A Time but they dropped that and it went to netflix so i stopped watching again.
