It's hardly bad in this day and age. It's double Love Island's rating and that's probably seen as the most popular RTV show today besides Bake Off and IAC.

Serves them right for eliminating Gaga Lord

lewis111 01-10-2017 06:37 PM

I think it's seem as bad, not because of the numbers themselves, but because it's always compared to Strictly - as it should be
SCD shows that a lot of people are still watching Saturday night TV but the mass majority have now chosen Strictly over XF

supertv247 01-10-2017 08:05 PM

What I find weird is that strictly got the exact same as last year, yet XF was 2 million down. So it’s not like 2 million have just turned over to strictly, they’ve literally just disappeared elsewhere

supertv247 02-10-2017 09:10 AM

5.1 million last night - down 1.1m on last Sunday and the lowest ever Sunday rating.
Of course this week started at 7:30pm for the first time, and clashed with strictly (8.5m) for that first 30 minutes - but that's still really bad, as it clashes every year at this stage. Those first 30 minutes must have been dire to bring the whole rating down so much on last week

supertv247 08-10-2017 12:42 PM

4.8 million for the last bootcamp. Second lowest rating ever (after the last auditions episode 2 weeks ago) 5 million behind strictly with 9.8 million

Morgan. 08-10-2017 12:52 PM

Probably unrelated but I'm finding this series of The X Factor is getting better and easier to watch as it goes on. Like the first 3 auditions episodes were good, then it was boring and since Bootcamp started I've been gripped. This happens every year for me though, mind.

supertv247 08-10-2017 01:04 PM

Hmm.. usually it gets better around the six chair challenge, but IMO the last episode of bootcamp was quite boring. It felt like too much filler. They should either show everyone’s Arena audition and have it really fast paced, or miss it out altogether. 6CC isn’t as bad because they have to show everyone so it moves a lot quicker and actually has you gripped

Jack_ 08-10-2017 01:10 PM

The Arena Bootcamp's are crap, I much prefer when they do the group tasks and stuff like that (which they condensed into half an episode this year) because at least it feels like a distinct stage rather than just an audition with an audience

I wish they'd take Bootcamp to a country house again, do some group challenges, maybe some individual performances and then have each category line up so the judges can call the names out of the people who are going through...like the good old days

supertv247 08-10-2017 01:13 PM

Yeah, for the arena auditions they should’ve just been on and off - no feedback or VTs or filler - and then each category gathered at the end to be told who’s through and who’s not. Would’ve been much faster paced, less boring and more ‘must see’ at the end.

supertv247 09-10-2017 10:14 AM

Sunday night - 5.74 million - up 740k on last Sunday and 1 million on Saturday. It peaked with 7.13m which is 2.1m more than Saturday night so yet again proving the 6CC is the most popular part of the show. No idea why they spent so long on Bootcamp now

Will. 29-10-2017 09:46 AM

5.2M for the first live show

1 million down on last year first live show and 500K down on last week.

Will. 29-10-2017 09:46 AM

It was defo missing something last night, it didn’t feel like an event.

Jack_ 29-10-2017 10:46 AM

Hope it crashes and burns so Simon wakes up and smells the hummus and restores the format for the second time next year

Morgan. 29-10-2017 10:51 AM

I actually liked it - having just 8 acts felt better because watching 16 perform one after another is tedious, and then the Sunday feels pointless. I'm likely to put full attention into the series now.

supertv247 29-10-2017 12:55 PM

Tonight it faces a full on clash with strictly and then Blue Planet 2 which is highly anticipated sooooo rip

supertv247 30-10-2017 08:47 AM

19:00: The X Factor - 4.64m (19.2%)

Officially the shows lowest rating of all time.
Strictly averaged 9.6 million while Blue Planet averaged 10.3 million

Will. 30-10-2017 11:44 AM

Nnn A SCREAM

she’s gone, RIP :skull:

cliffxen 30-10-2017 12:19 PM

a shame since last night's live show was the best in such a long time.

It really wasn't. There's no suspense any more. And now the winners of the series are pretty much set in stone, too.

supertv247 30-10-2017 01:19 PM

Saturdays show was one of the best in years, last night's was completely ruined with that sing off nonsense. If they replaced that sing off with the usual bottom 2 Sing Off, still had the winner but just an automatic prize for whoever topped the vote etc, it would be brilliant.

Will. 05-11-2017 08:50 AM

5.1M for last nights

10.4M for Strictly

supertv247 05-11-2017 10:13 AM

Tonight will (yet again) be the lowest rating ever, below last weeks 4.6m I think. The prize fight had huge backlash last week, plus strictly is only getting bigger, blue planet is still on and this weeks xfactor theme is diabolical
