I'd advise against this.

If you stop the lessons for a while after your confidence has been knocked like this, it'll be even harder to go back to them and before you know it years have passed and you'll be too scared to start again.

I’m just doing automatic as I cba with manual and everyone in my family drives automatics so it’s not a big deal.

I tried driving this manual van my dad hired in Summer and I was 5 metres away from crashing it sjsjsjsjsnns

I wouldn’t stop, just do automatic. I have so much more confidence with an automatic.

What a lazy way of driving.

Hubby used to take me out to get confidence for my (real) lessons, scratched all the side of the car coming out of a car park, then once when he said go straight over the next roundabout I took him literally:blush:

:laugh2: That's amazing.

I agree with this. You may take a bit longer than others but you’ll get there in the end. Maybe take a short break to focus then get back in that car. Just focus on that licence.

I've just come back from probably my best lesson yet (I wasn't on a dual carriageway granted) but it went really well, I think the encouragement in here and other circumstances outside of driving have really boosted my confidence. Didn't do one thing wrong.
