He was the reason I stopped watching that season because I found him and the constant focus on him tiring. I can never consider a housemate that made me stop watching for the most part to be a good one.

He literally asked her to spit in his mouth the day after (she did, which was weird) but like the spit-argument doesnt really make sense after that request of his.

Part of it is the level of disrespect and sneakiness(?) -there's a better word for it that I can't think of right now- to do something like that behind someone's back. But still, Bear's response to it was pretty comical and makes it feel not so bad that Aubrey did something like that. :joker:

Besides, Bear has stuff like that coming to him tbh because of the way he acts, and he certainly gets it back to him, so how can people be THAT mad?

Of course not, basically any male who receives hate would get less if they were female (probably not in general, but on TiBB at least)

The gender theories on this site are ****ing annoying, and doesn't excuse the vileness someone does regardless of their gender, especially when the housemate is filth

Helen and KT got as much support as hate if I remember correctly.

Fair enough with Chloe, Ellie and Kayleigh. Don't know about the others. None of these girls were trolls though, they were hated for being either in a showmance or for aggressive behaviour.

Whether true or not I do think the gender debates get boring but it's kind of a relevant thing on TIBB so I'll leave it at that after explaining in this post.

The only females I've seen get consistent hate are the showmance-types and usually it's because the male is despised. There are rare exceptions obviously but it's a bit strange to me when it's the same thing over and over again over time and the gender scale is tipped SO far in the females direction.

For every hand full of hated females there are 50 hated males in the same boat and the hated females get more mixed reactions from the site. Males are not THAT vile in comparison lol. :joker: There are definitely females similar to Bear that get loved between BBUS/BBCAN/BBUK/Survivor etc.

Bear got (and still gets) a truck-load of love though, so I think their point still stands

I agree. But I think that's just down to the demographics of this forum, which do not represent the viewing public. In fact, in general it's the other way around - male housemates get away with a lot more than the females do.

Nah, first series I switched off. Nothing about him made a good housemate for me, found him dull.

Playing to the cameras and creating artificial drama with superficial means - it's everything that BB shouldn't be about.

On that alone, I disagree.

Saying Bear is a good housemate is a bit like buying 12 dogs - 11 puppies and a rottweiler - and then remarking, when the rottweiler has torn the puppies to shreds and left a pile of blood and flesh - "at least I've got a dog left! :)"
