Did Dapper think it was funny? Genuwine creasing himself with laughing over it.

Dapper and Genuwine are crass individuals living up to their past reputations as disgusting and lewd.

When Ann sees this, how is she going to feel? She doesn't deserve this at all.

I really don't think she''ll watch any of it, she'll leave and get on with her life, she feels she has nothing to prove and inane comments are water off a ducks back.

It's really not that bad at all and Ann wouldn't care as long as she's not around to hear it / see it, it's what she's said herself. Plus Daniel felt bad about it afterwards but he's a joker and jokes just fly out of his mouth without a filter. Jokers gonna joke. :joker:

When did he say he felt bad about it?

Of course she will either watch it or be told about it. It is out there and has been picked up in the press.

Inane remarks regarding politics or currents affairs are how you describe but a exceedingly personal sexual innuendo about a religious single lady of 70 years of age is a very different case.

She'll probably just roll her eyes and have forgotten about it the next day, it's not the end of the world

I’m old enough to remember Chubby Brown and Bernard Manning.

Dippy is a Boy Scout in comparison

You are not thinking it through from Anne's perspective. It might not matter to you or someone in different circumstances or religious leanings.

Ann is an elderly woman who does not invite her personal space invaded or indeed her personal life intruded upon. Therefore unwarranted personal sexual references would be abhorrent to her.

Maybe but she's pretty tough and has spent her life in a role where she has been subjected to serious criticism and often abuse - she will have heard much worse. I imagine that she would be offended by it but also that she won't dwell on it for more than a couple of minutes at most

I think you'll find she hasn't heard the likes of that filth in the house of commons.

She wouldn't have been subjected to the same sort of sexual abuse in her work role or she could have taken it further.

Serious criticism about her political career, Yes, she would have not bothered about, sexual matters about her private life are a very different matter

I wasn't talking about the House of Commons

Was a side-splitting comment, I was rolling around like Genuwine.

You can bet your bottom dollar that the vast majority of people who took offence are the type of people who sensationalise every word that comes out of the housemate's mouths to an absurd extremity. It was a frivolous joke that carried no malice whatsoever folks, don't get your knickers in a twist.

Because the length of someone's tenure on this forum compromises the validity of what was actually said? Not sold on that logic...

That's quite a sweeping generalisation.

It's like me saying that all the boys sticking up for him have quite a juvenile sense of humour.

Must have been so subtle and intricate that it went over my head, given you are a Senior Member....

Is it sexist of you to pigeonhole a gender like that :joker:?

But no one outside of Livia mentioned gender...? Maybe that's where you ought to focus your attention :joker:?
