I agree

Why say feminism when you can say equality?

Unless you believe in feminism as a supremacy movement?

Its called feminism because clearly the imbalance is against women and so it's a womens movement, obviously. Men have never needed to seek equality from women, I'm sure you all know this though

wow how rude you two are, welcome to the forum.

Why does what I wrote say I don't believe in equality? Or are you purposely misunderstanding what I wrote?

It sounds as though you're the one portraying her as a "stone cold" feminist by implying that she's supposed to be against any type of relationship with a man.

So she is just a feminist instead of stone cold feminist?

There's nothing stone cold about her. Yes, she's a feminist. I believe every woman should be a feminist.

Anyway assuming u were being serious I could understand needing a movement specifically for women back in like 1900’s because back then we needed a concentrated focus on the fact women just didn’t have the same rights which is wrong, however why should a movement like that exist now and hide over the definition of equality when first the name implies it’s heavily focused on one side and therefore isn’t advocating for the equality of everyone especially when women have all the rights men do have and most modern day feminists are advocating for more, and two if you truly believed in equality why not just say you believe in equality, because I highly doubt even 0.01% of feminists in the modern era would ever advocate for the right of a man. Doesn’t sound like equality does it?

If you're calling me stupid then yes absolutely that's rude. You've not answered my question though. What about my post says I don't believe in equality?

You clearly misunderstood what I was saying, I mean it's a womans movement because women were/are the ones discriminated against, in the same way that Black lives Matter is about black people looking to be treated equally to white people, women are looking to be treated equally to men ........not better than man.

Obviously things (in this side of the world anyway) are much better now for women but I don't think we're totally equal in regards to pay and job opportunities (and just look at all this Harvey Weinstein stuff to see how equal women are in Hollywood) And staying with Hollywood, the pay difference between Female and male actors. For example, last year (or maybe the year before, Scarlet Johanson was the highest grossing actor but she didn't even break the top 10 in wages

Wage gaps, the government (well at least here in America) making decisions about women's bodies (Anti-abortion laws, efforts to stop Planned Parenthood funding through Medicaid, etc.), likely hood of being sexually assaulted, Lack of leadership roles in certain fields (even though women are more likely to graduate college), shamed for being sexual active while men get praised/not judged as harshly

There's A LOT but that's some of the ones that i can think off the top of my head lol

Well as you've pointed out I'm a moderator so that would be against the rules of the forum, I'll let it slide this one time for you though :hee:

Seems like Ireland is backward place then. But it does not mean that whole europe is and all men are accused because of that.
