Valid point, Ammi. But that can be also true of any threads/topics, for example BB threads often get vicious.

Nothing more than a changed name fm starting a thread to get everyone who debates and argues on s and d to come into the thread and argue...deserves an infraction imo for baiting...

it should be left alone
people who can't take the heat shouldn't visit it, that's all, there's plenty of other subforums
re. personal attacks, lack of SD wouldn't make a difference, BB threads can get very personal and vicious too, but you'd not even think of getting rid of those

What's scary about agreeing with me?

I find that offensive. Which going by today's laws, makes your post a hate crime. You can go to prison for a hate crime.

Then just..don't read threads in there? :suspect:

I have no interest in sport, so i don't use that subforum. Chat and games is usually garbage, so i rarely use there. Would not call for them to be axed though.

i don’t read the threads i actually have that forum on ignore but when someone has the AUDACITY to post a thread about some crackhead gouging her own eyes out in general chat because they are unable to post it in the usual place (SD)... that’s when it starts to affect me

But you choose to view it no one made you your in control of what thread you view

If we closed section of the forum every time a member said there be no forum

You don’t have to go in there. It’s not your place to decide what others can do.

But then the issue is surely, general chat? If thats where the depressing posts are being posted

I think there should be a separate subforum for politics. Thats where most of the anger is most of the time. Serious news and debates would be way tidier and way more thought provoking without the political threads. And then we can all affectionately name the politics subforum as 'tibbs lil hernia'.

I have said this for ages but it doesnt seem to be happening. I would ignore the politics forum I think. I hate how SD is always filled with politics rubbish, and even threads that are not about politics turn into thread about bloody politics.

Jamie89 19-03-2018 07:21 PM

I don't think I've ever even clicked into the sports subforum :skull:

Whispers stop talking about politics :joker:

I agree with this for the most part.

I do think that people have got carried away on Politics lately, not just on TIBB but everywhere that I'm going it's all hell breaking loose to do with how the country is being run, I don't know if it's just the circles that I'm mixing in but it's definitely making people divided.

Eddie. 07-04-2018 09:37 AM

Axe ha! It just brings negativity to this forum and only certain members actually use it, and those have a tendency to end up banned/permabanned (no offence)...

You just need to find the right Sport, Vicky I think, it's my belief with anyone that can't get into Football, Rugby, Cricket etc that you just need to find a less mainstream Sport that you like.:)

To go back on-topic though I'm a casual reader of books so I don't post in there that often, it's all members have to do if they don't like a section so I agree with you Vicky.

Underscore 07-04-2018 09:39 AM

In my opinion, if you want to debate Politics properly, go on a Politics forum. There's plenty of them, some of which I use.

This forum is definitely more entertainment centred being a forum for Big Brother and other shows so I really don't see the need for a debating section.

That's just my two cents.
