I can't @ how this show went from getting BOTS ratings in S1 to almost golden era BB ratings within the space of a few series.

The finale coming for 5 million?

The weirdest thing is that really this all started (most dramatically at least) last year, the series began in the low 2's and ended in the 2.8's

There are some days that were up 500k between week 3 and 4 :skull:

Worth of mouth?

Yeah, the two villas twist did wonders for the ratings last year. That's when it started hitting near the 3m mark.

The difference in ratings from the first half to the second half. :skull:

Overall BOTS has rated really well with some episodes reaching over 1 and a half million in a late time slot compared to The Xtra Factor only getting like 500k.

2.6 million is not BB golden ratings I just need to clarify that BB 's average was over 5 million at one point..Tim's eviction in BB3 was watched by over 8 million in 2002. More people voted on BB3 than the General Election.

Big Brother needs to go back to Channel 4!

Bring back Davina and the social experiment and the viewers will come back Noone likes Channel 5 and it cheapens the franchise.

Big Brother has been on air since 2000 so that's 18 year's!

Tell me another reality show which has achieved this?

Ross. 12-06-2018 11:36 PM

Doesn’t matter how long it lasted hun because it was just found dead in Caroline Flack’s bin

An awesome show but way different from BB seeing as they all leave the house and have jobs. BB is a social experiment.

pontyboi 13-06-2018 11:15 AM

**** it's increased again.

2.8 million for last nights episode and that was up against Michelle Keegan's "Our Girl" which was only 200k ahead.

Gstar 13-06-2018 12:29 PM

Yassss

Cal. 13-06-2018 12:35 PM

OMG

Cal. 13-06-2018 12:36 PM

Up on the equivalent episode last year by 500k :skull:

Cal. 13-06-2018 12:37 PM

It’ll probably rate officially the same as BB9 which aired 10 years ago :skull:

That's a bit ambitious it will probably rate between 3.0/3.3 imo which is still way up on last year and will have every other reality show ****ting their tight whities.

What's your issue? Why are you even commenting on this thread you bring nothing but negativity towards it.

I'm a BB fan through and through but even I cannot deny the success of Love Island year on year.

I'll say it again....GROW UP CHILD!

Officials are taken of every 7 days, and sometimes notable ones (like this) get released straight after the 7 days. The full weekly ratings are then uploaded to BARB every Monday (so the rest of week 1 will be released this Monday coming)

Jack_ 13-06-2018 04:32 PM

Prediction - there'll be some 3.5+ overnights before the end of the series!

oop

supertv247 13-06-2018 04:35 PM

back when BB was at its peak, it’s overnight rating was practically the official rating too. Say 5m for an eviction in BB3 wouldn’t increase at all, but nowadays love Island could average 3m overnight and that’s 4m official (not even including on demand viewing) so times are VERY different and it’s difficult to even compare.

I do think it will hit a new peak (again) and definitely top 3 million (maybe tonight?) and could push the official average towards 4 million, which is INSANE year on year growth from S1-S4
