You can still drink it in pints...

user104658 29-06-2018 08:56 AM

I still don't get why people ike beer to be fair. When I was younger, people said it was an "acquired taste" etc., but I'm 33 and to me it all still tastes like a farmhand's day old bathwater.

I'll have a cider if there's a DECENT one available (no strongbow or other crap like that) but beer just... Nah. Makes me bloated, too.

So spirits and diet mixers are the way to go. IMO everyone should avoid using non-diet mixers if they're out for more than a couple, though, as the amount of sugar in them is insane. One or two glasses is one thing but if you're hitting 10...

I had a PINT of lager shandy last night using Corona

Refreshing.

Jack_ 30-06-2018 10:11 AM

Strongbow is my go-to pint. If they don't have that I'll have whatever other cider they have on tap

Beso 01-07-2018 09:40 AM

Pimms or gnt for me today..

Just found this very sexist thread :oh:

If I have a pint, which is rare these days, I like Cider and black.

I did find it a little sexist myself.

I’ll drink anything that’s not bitter myself. There was a time when I experimented with John Smith’s just so I could say my beer-tastebuds were that seasoned but long-term it’s not for me. But beyond the fact that I don’t like bitter I can’t resign myself to just the one, especially since probably most pubs have different varieties and not every single one of the more popular ones on tap. But I know I love a good San Miguel.

I’m really liking Blue Moon at the minute, but Franziskaner is my favourite of all time but I can’t find it on draught anywhere in Liverpool and the bottles they sell in supermarkets don’t taste the same as in Germany.

Have researched. Amazon do individual bottles for 2.99 each. In association with Morrisons.

Maybe you could put it on your Christmas 🎄 list.

Have you been to Ireland? I've actually gotten into Stout at the moment, a half pint would be pointless, a nice pint of Murphys goes down a treat

I don't think you'd get that in Pubs over here, not on draught anyway. With Stout its almost exclusively a choice between Guinness, Murphys or Beamish

Spoken like someone who’s never been to Liverpool or Ireland.
