Its like going to a concert of an artist who you once loved and now for whatever reason hate and then booing and complaining all the way through it. Why even bother being there, for both your own sake and that of the people around you. If youre that over it with no hope, just move on.

I’ve devoted all of about two minutes of my life to the very minimal number of Big Brother posts I’ve made in recent months, so it must be a pretty short concert! So short that I’m not quite sure why anyone would care!

Agreed, i can see love island start to drop in viewers over the next few years, i've already seen alot of people on twitter saying they arn't feeling it anymore this year some of which are hardcore love island fans.

Yet Love Islands ratings average this year so far are 4 million compared to last years 2.5.

When it comes to popularity of a show I think listening to social media and the media is just unreliable.

For example Love Islands Twitter has 832k followers whilst BB has 1.39 million followers so if you look at those stats BB should be rating better but is nowhere near.

Exactly it will fizzle out but it will be a while yet I mean series 1 only got around 500k but was still renewed it’s got a good 4-5 years yet

Ben would be an idiot to shelf BB after its most successful recent CBB run.

That's only the council confirming that the new application is on exactly the same terms as the previous one and is thus suitable for continuing.

It does not confirm that any deal has been struck with a broadcaster. We're still in the dark on that one.

Jack_ 11-09-2018 02:13 PM

Thing is, when it was a one year application and people were saying Endemol might just be buying time to pitch to broadcasters - that made sense. Three years doesn't

JoshBB 11-09-2018 02:53 PM

Wow some of y’all really want the show to fail

No Ch4 have confirmed they do not want it , again.

BBDodge 11-09-2018 04:59 PM

Even the BBC website has picked up on this story:

Approved

Jack_ 13-09-2018 06:45 PM

what a damn mess it would've been had they rejected it and the house had to be demolished by the 30th September :skull:

Mrmattybeck 13-09-2018 06:47 PM

Finally now we wait to see if it gets a new home what do endelmol have planned

It's interesting that they changed the application from 1 year to 3 years.

Jack_ 13-09-2018 06:53 PM

This also means that should the show continue, it'll have been at Elstree for almost 20 years :o

JoshBB 13-09-2018 06:59 PM

Honestly, I don't think BB19 will be the last series. It might be the last C5 series (it seems about 45% likely imo), but another channel may pick it up. Endemol sure seem to want to keep it going

Oaker 13-09-2018 07:02 PM

Endemol must be pretty sure there's someone else who wants it since C5 seem to be desperate to get rid of it

I wonder where it'll go

pontyboi 13-09-2018 07:18 PM

I really hope it goes to another channel 5 really don't give a **** about it.

It seemed this year Endemol had more input and there was such a difference in production its likely they took more control and listened to fans by implementing small changes/details which makes BB stand out from other reality tv shows to make it more appealing to other channels.

Strictly Jake 13-09-2018 07:35 PM

Now we just need itv2 to pick it up

No chance.

Unless Love Island goes to the main ITV channel or they air one CBB a year in January and regular BB in September?
