This summers show DID NOT beat January's launch of 2.07m

That's what they get for making us sit through 2 ****ing hours of it

It DID NOT beat January as the average was 1.98m (12.9%) compared to January's 2.07m. So in fact it was down from January's launch by 90k. Just making this clear.

However this summers launch was up from last summer by 180k. And up in shade by 2.9%

Exactly! It could've easily been cut down to 90 mins and averaged 2.1m.

It could have been cut down by about half an hour probably but I think we might have to give some credence to exactly how much impact Stormy was supposed to have on the show’s schedule. The friends and family thing looked like pure and utter filler

The more impressive thing is that it was up 3% in share. Means less were watching tv than last year. A share like last night last year would have been probably more around the 2.2m area.

I wonder what the drops gonna be now that people know there’s no stormy

Ironcially, she’s literally created an even bigger storm. Any publicity is better than no publicity. She pulled another stunt in loose women today, has been trending online for the whole day etc so it might help just promote the show if anything :laugh:

C5: CBB 1.95m

3rd in the slot and really not miles away from BBC1.

Really hoping last nights ratings held up. Is it sad that in nervous to see them ...EEK!

Apparently it got 1.4m including +1 which is the same as January even though it was a launch episode, and also 200k up on the equivalent episode last summer.

About standard. Infact, it usually drops more.

Last summer’s first episode got 1.61m

our show Utopia only has 200k views :idc: and yet producers keep it on the telly LOL
