I mean words are pretty powerful especially when you're in politics. She's not some ignorant troll on social media spewing hate, she's a public figure in politics and if she's saying things like all muslims should be wiped out I'm gonna take her very seriously. I'm not at all justifying what happened to her I wouldn't wish that on anybody but I can't say I hold as much sympathy towards her as would to someone who wasn't calling for a genocide

Niamh. 10-08-2018 03:50 PM

It's odd how even a thread about someone being kidnapped and raped by a gang comes back to being the womans fault.. not surprised really

this exactly, being a politician is a big responsibility, and i think most people will take anything what they have to say seriously

but also agree with you, i wouldn't wish such disgusting thing as rape, assault and kidnapping on anyone, not even my enemies if i had any

she also could've just been thinking like i need to have police protection cause suicide and leaving your children and husband behind is also not really the best option

police protection and good help trying to overcome from this horrible rape/assault incident

Kazanne 10-08-2018 03:57 PM

second most prominent in the PVV behind their party leader Geert Wilders

and some in the Tweede Kamer highest politics branch wanted her out of that because of her anti-muslim views, with also an Eerste Kamer where the lesser debates are held mostly from city mayors and younger teenage politicians

awful enough my family voted for them, while i didn't want to

Geert Wilders their leader is more like the dutch Trump, but also a mix with Corbyn i guess

he is against any foreigners in our country, but he's being a bit hypocritical with that since his own wife is from Hungary and also doesn't really speak a word dutch

prominent party's here are CDA (christian democrat party) SP (socialistic party) VVD (freedom of democracy party, also from our current PM Mark Rutte) GroenLinks (they are for the youth and nature)

idgi, how’s he like Jeremy Corbyn if he’s also like Donald Trump?

he looks like Trump, on the daily show with trevor noah was also mentioned Wilders could've been Trump's son

his political views are more like Corbyn's

I'm not saying it's her fault at all. It's not gone over my head why something like rape was used as a weapon against a woman and I think it's a repugnant thing to do. I condemn those responsible and hope they receive the harshest sentence possible. However when a lot of my extended family and friends muslim I find it hard to a whole lot of sympathy for someone who would rather they were wiped out.

No. I was just saying it personally makes me feel less sympathetic as opposed to someone who'd just been walking around living their life rather than spewing hate. That's all. It still isn't justified though.

I mean... maybe it shouldnt have been said, but it is unfortunately true.

Yes, that's what I was saying. thank you.

People are quick to disregard the lives of muslims as less important. Imagine if a muslim guy had said he wanted all white people wiped out by an atomic bomb.. right-wing trolls have said and done worse to muslims for simply existing.

This isn't an us vs them situation where every single muslim wants to see the end the western world. Like I said I have muslim friends and family I don't really think they should be lumped in with radicles.

also theres loads of videos I can find of white people expressing hate towards people like me and you don't see me calling for a white genocide

I'd prefer politicians to be honest and say what they believe to gain votes rather than be dishonest to gain votes.

Beso 10-08-2018 05:31 PM

I think we should all take the ppv's advice and "leave willie alone"

Until the accusations and story is confirmed.

Yes it certainly isn't and I don't in anyway shape or form agree with her views or what she said
