As the story emerges, it appears the Spanish guests were rude, Spanish people can be rude, they can also be extremely xenophobic even to people just on holiday....you also get very nice Spanish people, such is the way of the world..

While that is true, English people are also the same, Benidorm has gone from a Spanish town to basically an English city in Spain, not all Spaniards would be happy about that.

Not my experience of the Spanish at all whenever I've been there (in general of course as we're all individuals)

and this is why I pointed out that it is the same the world over when the balance of native v non native is shifted too far

There is a hardware shop where we go where they practically throw the stuff at you if you are white...even if you are speaking Spanish and some of the staff in Consum are rude, not unlike staff in shops anywhere
