He probably thinks that she's a goner anyway so he might as well throw her under the bus because he might have a chance of saving himself.

Also, as I mentioned in another thread, I believe Jermaine said he is not married and didn't have a girlfriend. So in Chloe mind Jermaine is single and available to date. Jermaine lied and deceived Chloe.

Also Jermaine, whilst married, said he fancied Chloe from day 1. A married man should not do this. This Jermaine/Chloe thing shouldn't have even started. Jermaine also wrote the first message sayng 'I love you'. If he respected his marriage she would not have done this. Now Jermaine is backtracking and trying to dump all the blame on Chloe.
