Yeah... for now at least, I think the way people react to him is more interesting to me than whether or not he's going to be this big character in the house. I don't know if I would notice what his check-boxes were otherwise. He appears benign as you've mentioned, kirk, but I really do feel he is much much more brilliant than he lets on and than even some of his fans give him credit for... I think he will be a surprise in some way.

Yeah I noticed that on one of the last episodes... he does seem to be sex-centric. I think most of them are to some degree... seeing as so many of them are still so young... and very aware of other HM's specific interests...

.....hmmm it’s always interesting that sexual talk seems to be a no, no with fans in comparison to awful or mean spirited characteristics in a housemate...things that are done toward a fellow housemate or fellow housemates...They’ve all talked about sex so far as I can see...I recall Lewis G saying he had handcuffs on his bed or something...and there was a whole conversation which evolved form that...and they’ve discussed sex parties etc...in an environment where there is no TV, no books to read etc..nothing in the way of chill down entertainment..?...and especially when it’s all younger housemates...the sex chats will inevitably happen..and that’s fine also, it’s part of what younger people do and talk about ...maybe if there were older housemates as well, then they would be more inclined to move the conversations elsewhere...but they are all younger and mainly single, so it’s bound to happen...

His sex tips to Cameron were very sensible: practical advice to use hands not just penis to please the partner and general advice that sex is better in a loving relationship.

Beats any advice Lewis G or Isaac might have given. Which would be something like smash and grab, or should I say grab and smash.

Tomasz is 31, not sure he can be classed as a 'young housemate', I don't have a problem with hms talking about sex, it just seems its his main topic of conversation

I think he is ok.... but yes he is overrated

I think in this political correctness climate people automatically support him because of what he "represents", a gender fluid cross dresser. Having good one-liners also helps build his support.


However, I do agree with others that their are double standards with regard to comments and action. For example, when he ogled the men oiling themselves in the garden (sun tan lotion) the general public reaction is of humour and it is perceived as light fun. However, if he was a straight man ogling women, he would be condemned as a male chauvinist pig and fans would demand for him to be voted out the show

for sure, and if a 31 year old straight male started giving tips to an 18 year old lesbian many eyebrows would be raised :laugh: He gets a pass because people think he is harmless

I'm 33, and there's plenty of older folk here who would laugh directly in my face if I dared to call myself anything but a young'un. It is quite funny. I'm too "old" to fit in with the younger college demographic and yet the older generations just aren't ready to accept me into their more experienced coven just yet... I'm coven-less :bawling:

Don’t get all the ‘love’ for him...it’s the kind of love you express for a cute animal or someone you feel sorry for. I don’t find him cute and can’t patronise him, so in general I have no interest in him.

...you don’t need to ‘fit’ though, Maru..I mean you do fit, you fit perfectly because of you as an individual, the person you are, is the thing...being part of a coven..:laugh:..or a group in any way feels a bit like losing your identity because you’ve just become ‘one of’...and none of us are one of anything, other than the human race...that’s the only coven which would be applicable...and because that’s a fairly huge group and we all like to feel we have a little significance within that group through our lives...it’s always important that we remain the person we are in our own individuality...there’s a saying, I can’t recall exactly how it’s worded...but something along the vein of...’you were born an original, don’t die a copy’...you’re an original, Maru...a very lovely original who will always fit because of that originality, I would say..:love:..
