"Get the pitch-fork mob going?"

No one wants any of that.
Ch5/Viacom had to eject her fast
or the massive fines.

Babayaro. 30-09-2018 03:40 PM

Okay, Arista. You know best.

What about other past crimes (arson, stealing, assault, threatening to kill someone etc etc) - should HMs be ejected for those too?

If its on a Worldwide Digital Footprint given out to the Media
Yes Eject fast

arista 30-09-2018 03:47 PM

[Within an hour of being removed from the house, Ellis was put into a taxi with her suitcases for a six-and-a-half hour journey home.
Show producers phoned her mum, who was shocked to learn that her daughter would be arriving home in a cab after midnight.]

That is Good Aftercare

Well done Endemol /Ch5/Viacom

Babayaro. 30-09-2018 03:49 PM

Oh WELL DONE them for going out of their way to make a two-minute phone call :clap1:

James 30-09-2018 03:54 PM

I don't think it is a trivial task for them to check someone's social media history, especially if the potential housemate has thousands of posts on different platforms.

They did the Correct thing
with the Racist Bitch.

I know of a man that moved to a Bigger London Bank
he was advised to delete his Facebook, before joining
He is still a Executive there.

I'm not condoning her tweets, but going into the house on such an enormous high to then being pulled into the diary room and removed from the house less than 24 hours after first entering, has got to take a hit on anyone's mental health.

She can acess mental health services from home, she doesn’t need to be at Elstree, they can still help her, the first thing she said after being told she was ejected was that she wanted to go home, and they honoured that

It's not a trivial task to assess someone's mental health either but that's a requirement which has gradually fallen away too.

JoshBB 30-09-2018 04:22 PM

Producers were absolute ****ing idiots for not vetting social media, and for removing someone over something like that. Just don't let her on the show.

I honestly can't express my disbelief still that they would be so incompetent

Her use of derogatory language = wrong; but calling her a b***h = ok?

Yes
as she did wrong,

Jack_ 30-09-2018 04:37 PM

This is disgusting quite frankly

I hope whichever pathetic twat took time out of their day to search for buzzwords on the Twitter profile of a reality show contestant - thinking they were really providing some groundbreaking "expose" - is happy with themselves

But the person that had the Tweet to Release
could be a Young Asian?

Cherie 30-09-2018 04:42 PM

Are people honestly saying that as soon as contestents go home there is no futher input from the show..as bit like being discharged from hospital they will have access to mental healhcare for a period of time

Lmao yeah its hard to sit on a pedalstool while calling someone a racist b**ch

Honestly it’s just ****ty and unprofessional. I have qualms with the core of ejecting people for tweets years ago but even if this was basically required for legal reasons they should have done background checks which they didn’t which has ruined a young girls life over year old tweets and incompetence

Agree with all of this. I don't wish her any ill will, I wanted her gone when I read the tweets and she is so that's that.

That said, you know full well how offensive what she said is at 15. It wasn't innocent naivety, it was ugly racism. But hopefully she's done some much needed maturing since and continues to do so.

Well a number of former housemates have come out and said so. A number were even suicidal after being "let go" by the show after one follow up.

GoldHeart 30-09-2018 05:23 PM

BB producers are the idiots for letting her on the show in the first place .Total pointless waste . Like I said someone else more interesting could of had her place

Ellis still hasn't grown up ,she probably regrets her stupid tweets . But when she entered BB she behaved like she was very immature  .

Starscream 30-09-2018 05:31 PM

No mention at all of the Sectarian social media posts she was still making just months before going in the house?

If that is the case then that is the contract they signed....it would seem odd though that there wouldn’t be a set number of months specified for aftercare, obviously it can’t carry on indefinitely

Nobody said it would carry on indefinitely but multiple housemates experiencing suicidal feelings, multiple housemates making actual suicide attempts and all of them saying the aftercare amounted to little more than one phonecall is obviously a problem.
