I've seen it today and I loved it

Spoiler:

RIP Iron Man and Black Widow

Spoiler:

I don't know why but the biggest surprise for me was that Thanos' victims were gone for 5 years

Spoiler:

I'm also confused about Gamora. Her 2014 version came back, turned on Thanos and even had a short "reunion" with Star-Lord, but she was never shown again after Thanos and his army were wiped out. Have I missed her second death or something? I'm dissapointed that she's gone again because I love Guardians of the Galaxy and I was hoping that all of them would survive :(

Oliver_W 25-04-2019 09:50 PM

Spoiler:

Is it weird I found fat rock star Thor more attractive than short hair Thor? But not as much as standard Thor.

Spoiler:

I wonder who's left for the Avengers? Spidey, Ant Man, Professor Hulk, Black Iron Man, Falcon ... maybe we'll get Iron Gweneth :D
edit - Hawkeye too, though Clint has become Ronin

Spoiler:

I've wanted Thor to join the Guardians for years, glad it's actually happening! Are both GOTG3 and Thor 4 confirmed?

[spoiler]I wonder when Thanos swapped places with Aunt May to hynotise Peter ... maybe she was always Thanos :O [/spioler]

Spoiler:

I think she just did a runner. Gamora at that point wouldn't put herself on the line for others.
She's not dead because at the end Star Lord wanted to look for her, he was trying to trace her on the system.

Niamh. 26-04-2019 09:17 AM

Spoiler:

I was wondering about Gamora aswell, I just assumed that she turned to Ash with everyone else who arrived with Thanos but maybe not? I didn't think she would be allowed to come back because of the way she died like Black Widow?

Anyone know whether Thor is going to be in future GOTG films now? Has he joined them for good? I like the dynamic between him and Star Lord so i hope so......although I hope he gets his Thor body back again :oh: It was funny though how he'd let himself go

Really enjoyed it though over all, the 3 hours flew

James 26-04-2019 12:14 PM

Spoiler:

I'm not sure we've seen the last of Natasha either because Gamora was thrown off the same cliff, and she is (maybe) back alive again. They could use the same time-machine method with Black Widow. They are making a spin-off film with the character, and it doesn't need to be wholly a prequel.

They also didn't have a funeral scene for her but did for Tony.

Niamh. 26-04-2019 01:12 PM

Spoiler:

Yeah, that was why I was wondering if Gamora was alive or not because if she is then Natasha should be able to come back. Although maybe it isn't the same because, when they went back to change what happened 5 years previous, it meant that Thanos wouldn't have had to push Gamora off that cliff to get the soul stone because he took them from the Avengers instead and so Natasha kind of took Gamoras place in getting that stone

Owoaje1993 26-04-2019 01:16 PM

Spoiler:

I read black widow film is based on how she became black widow so I think she is dead and not returning after her film

LukeB 26-04-2019 04:00 PM

This was definately the best avengers movie! It was entertaining and funny! It didn’t drag at all. 3 hours was perfect

Spoiler:

Black widow and iron man dying was so sad :(

I knew captain america could hold thor’s hammar, he slightly moved it before.

LukeB 26-04-2019 05:13 PM

I actually give this movie a 10/10

Spoiler:

She's dead imo

I think the movie will be about how she became Black Widow because all these movies are not in the timeline order.

James 26-04-2019 08:38 PM

Spoiler:

Actually an upcoming Black Widow prequel film might be the reason they didn't show a funeral scene for her, now I think about it.

I'm surprised they are doing an origin story film for her, because Solo was a Star Wars prequel film for a character that had already been killed off, and that film flopped.

I still think there is a chance that there will be a post-credits scene in the Black Widow film where a portal opens up and Nick Fury or someone comes out and says, 'come with me, we need your help'.

Tony Montana 26-04-2019 08:51 PM

At the cinema right now about to watch

I haven’t been this excited in a long time

Who knows, maybe it'll be a prequel, and also have "midquel" type scenes so we see what she's up to when she's not been in the movies, and it'll end with her funeral

Spoiler:

But... the film didn't flop because in the "present" the character was dead. Flopped because it was a crap film.

And "dead" in the Marvel universe doesn't really mean much.

Brother Leon 27-04-2019 05:54 AM

I went to watch it midnight with friends and then again last night with my wife. She’s not even a huge superhero fan, but she still was in her emotions throughout.

Cba to go into spoilers, but just at the end credits of the movie at both times I really felt it. Just looking back at 11 years of movies and even further than that, my mum buying me marvel comics to read when I was well behaved etc. It really did feel like the end of an era.

Huge credit and props to all involved.

Thank You Kevin Feige and Russo Brothers
Thank You Robert Downey Jr
Thank You Chris Evans
Thank You Chris Hemsworth
Thank Your Mark Ruffalo
Thank You Scarlett Johansson
Thank You Jeremy Renner

Most importantly, thank you and R.I.P to Stan Lee.

AProducer'sWetDream 27-04-2019 11:31 AM

I genuinely can't think of a fault to give this film. It was everything I wanted and hoped for, and more. Can't believe it was actually three hours it went by so quickly.

(Also I can see this breaking every box office record there is- two of the cinemas in my area were completely sold out yesterday when I tried to book online and the place I went to was absolutely packed- I've never seen anything like it).

Spoiler:

Black Widow </3 I'm not sure I've ever cried that much at this type of film.
Then, Tony </3 and Pepper had me in floods of tears again.

I loved the scenes where they went back to Avengers Assemble. And *that*
final battle gave me goosebumps. Absolutely perfefct. I'm sure people who know a ton more about the universe will pcik apart certain plot points but honestly, I had the best time watching this film and left it completely satisfied. There's nothing more I could have asked for. 10/10

Spoiler:

Also I want Chris Evans to obliterate me.

The Slim Reaper 27-04-2019 11:42 AM

Have to say I was disappointed. Don't know if my expectations were too high or what, but what they've done to the hulk and Thor was more for comedic value than anything.

As the end of this story it just left me feeling a little unsatisfied and completely underwhelmed.

Tony Montana 27-04-2019 04:10 PM

Watched it last night, I loved every second of it. The acting, storyline, emotional weight, entertainment value and conclusion. It's a 10/10 masterpiece as far as I'm concerned and has surpassed the Dark Knight as the greatest Comic Book film of all time imo.

High Points

Spoiler:

The first half felt like a Mission Impossible movie and revisiting the old movies was a great way to reward long time Marvel fans as well as saying thank you for your support.

Spoiler:

Bruce Banner merging his intelligence with the Hulk to become ''Professor Hulk'' He played a bigger role in this film than I expected and I was delighted.

Spoiler:

The return of the decimated heroes of Infinity War. Everyone at the cinema was hyped af to see them return at a crucial moment when all hope seemed lost. The ''Hey, Cap, on your left'' and Doctor Strange opening the first portal- when Cap was approaching the army by himself, gave me the biggest goosebumps I've ever had at the cinema.

Spoiler:

Tony ending the Infinity Saga and his own life with the words that started it all. ''I...am... Iron Man'' His death was the saddest moment in the whole franchise as well as a perfect conclusion to his story arc. Even though I knew his death was coming, it still hit me hard.

Spoiler:

Cap, Tony and Thor vs Thanos- The best fight in the whole MCU franchise by a long shot. Words can't even explain how awesome this was. I loved every second of it- it was amazing watching the teamwork between the 3 friends, bits like Thor intentionally amping Tony's suit with his lightning, Thor dual wielding Mjolnir and Strombreaker, Thanos kicking their asses, and of course I loved seeing Cap being worthy enough to finally pick up Mjolnir and start going to work on Thanos. The choreography for Mjolnir + Shield wielding Cap was breath-taking and it was excellent watching him do combos like throwing his shield, then throwing Mjolnir at the shield to make a shockwave behind Thanos and so on. The screams and cheers at that scene is a moment I'll never forget.

The only 4 minor flaws I had with it are

Spoiler:

Fat Thor. Pre fat Thor was badass, serious and powerful. I was really hoping he would be similar to his Infinity War role. But after he kills Thanos very early on, he just... retires?

Spoiler:

While I enjoyed Hulk's role in the film and he was a major highlight, I was a little disappointed that he didn't get a rematch with Thanos. No matter what the outcome would've been, I was hoping he would redeem himself after the massive beating he received in IW. He also didn't turn into World-breaker which saddened me a little.

Spoiler:

Captain Marvel- WTF happened to her? She's only in the film for like 20 minutes. She played a key role early on in the film, then disappears for an hour and a half and shows up during the final battle.

Spoiler:

The overall tone of the film was inconsistent. I like witty MCU humour but It felt out of place at times. There wasn't any need for comic relief moments from Thor and Hulk. I would've preferred less comedy in a movie with a serious theme like Endgame.

Overall, I love this film and it's the best time I've ever had at the cinema.

Barry. 27-04-2019 04:26 PM

Seeing it tomorrow morning can't wait.

Enjoy Barry. You'll love it.

Tony Montana 27-04-2019 04:52 PM

The film also clears up the theory that
Spoiler:

Spider-Man: Far From Home takes place before Infinity War
I always thought that that theory was correct so I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Spoiler:

I got the feeling he felt guilty about killing him outright, or at least the way it happened ... I can't actually think of a time when Thor killed a sentient being, especially one who was disarmed (heehee)

montblanc 27-04-2019 10:05 PM

it was amazing! not a huge fan of superhero movies but i always liked the avengers movies

my only problems with it was the length and it also gets a bit confusing at parts if you haven’t watched the individual movies of the different superheroes (but it’s still not that bad)

JerseyWins 27-04-2019 10:08 PM

EVERYONE is saying this movie was amazing :notimpressed:

I DON'T watch Superhero movies that aren't comedies (Deadpool for example lol) or like the Spiderman/Dark Knight ones... but people are making it so tempting for me to watch this :joker:

There’s some comedy in this:dance:

But why would he feel guilty tho? He wanted to kill him since IW.
