Just a week to go! i'm really looking forward to it.

I'm seeing chapter 1 and 2 on thursday.

I've heard mixed things about it so far but hopefully it's down to the fact that the adult sections of the story have always been the less compelling half.

My friend already has the tickets, watching this September 10th (cheap price on Tuesdays is the only reason why not on opening weekend :fan:).

I wasn't even a huge fan of the It remake but I'm hopeful for this one!

Yeah, I could see the second half with the adults dragging the film down a bit. Hope I'm wrong though.

Remake was brilliant. One of the best Stephen King adaptions.

Seen last night; not to bad, was a tad long for my liking. It was still good though and plenty of scares, only downfall is again they showed most of the good stuff in the trailer. But it’s very funny, emotional and quite scary (although honestly I didn’t find any that scare out of seat moments)

In regards to one storyline for people who have seen it (I’ll put it in spoilers)

Spoiler:

Was the character Richie gay? Penny wise started teasing him about a dark secret he had that he was going to reveal, and the way he was with Stanley and Eddie in the film made me think he fancied them? Plus that one scene he seems to be befriending another boy who turns out to be the cousin of the bully, at first I thought it was just him trying to make a friend but now not to sure

Maybe I am thinking to much into it

Really looking forward to this! I haven't finished the book but I don't mind.

I think I'll rewatch Chapter 1 tomorrow night before seeing this on Sunday.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 06-09-2019 10:10 AM

It’s just under 3 hours long :skull:

I watched it last night and tbh to me it didn’t feel that long.

Kazanne 06-09-2019 01:14 PM

Im going to see this soon,I heard it is 2 hours 45 mins long so it better be good.

Tom4784 06-09-2019 01:21 PM

I'm seeing it on Tuesday, I've heard mixed things but I'm excited for it. Gonna have some friends I'm going with come around at some point this weekend to rewatch Chapter 1.

Watched this last night as part of a double bill with the first one and I loved it! Amazing from start to finish. Much better than chapter 1 which was already a fantastic film and very hard to beat.

I was very sceptical about chapter 2 as it would focus on the Losers when they're older. I really loved the child performances in part 1 so I had strong doubts that the adult actors could match them, but boy, how wrong was I. The adult actors did a phenomenal job, equally matching (and in Bill Hader's case surpassing) their child counterparts. It also helps that they all looked like the kids. Adult actors nowadays rarely look like the child actors they play in films.

I was shocked by
Spoiler:

Stan's suicide early in the film. I never read the book or watched the original TV series, so I was not expecting that. I do wish he hadn't killed himself. His and especially Eddie's deaths were heartbreaking. The Loser's weren't complete without them two.

Bill Skarsgard was astonishing, much better than his first appearance and way, way creepier, sinister and evil. He really should be nominated for an Oscar.

The ending was sweet, although I would've preferred
Spoiler:

if Bill and Beverly got together rather than her and Ben. I like Ben but she had a much better chemistry with Bill.

Overall, I give this 9.5/10. Gonna watch this again next week.

Spoiler:

I think it's possible. When he was playing that arcade game with the bully's cousin, he was looking at him in a romantic way.

LukeB 06-09-2019 10:20 PM

I watched this last night (as well as chapter one) and i really enjoyed it tbh. It is a long movie but watching it, it didn't feel like it was on for that long. I thought the adults were great tbh, i'm not much of a fan of James McAvoy but he was good in the movie but the best loser was Bill Hader as Ritchie followed by Jessica Chastain as Beverly. Bill Skarsgård is fantastic as well.

Spoiler:

I didn't read the book so i was shocked Stanley killed himself and Eddie got killed. it was so sad :(

I probably give this a 8/10

Spoiler:

Yeah it's pretty obvious lol. He even carved E(ddie) + R(ichie) into the wooden fence.

Just watched this and I did enjoy it. There are a few pacing issues and some weird editing where it just cuts from one scene to another, but apart from that I enjoyed it. Of course the first one couldn't be topped though.

My heart was breaking when Ben was getting buried alive trying to tell Beverly that it was him who wrote the poem </3 they're meant to be!

I love how you always go into Stephen King for the horror but come out being in love with the characters and human nature of it all.
