Eastenders has a fair few and I'm sure the other soaps do

No, you really couldn't.

HO doesnt get the praise it deserves because it gets judged on what it doesn't do right then what it does right

EE has had maybe 1 serial killer in its 34 year span.

I was on about the amount of killers in the show not the serial killers

Exactly, like Steph's exit. Instead of following through it was, oh she's got cancer? Yeah, well she'd rather burn alive in a terrible fire. Bye Steph.

Tbf Hollyoaks has been better in recent years. But remember that time where they killed like 8 characters off in 1 week? :oh: All a bit far fetched imo. I do enjoy it and never miss an episode, but it's certainly not the best soap...

Marsh. 13-04-2019 12:54 AM

HO literally replace characters and aren't even subtle about it. As soon as one psycho leaves you can spot the next one, sometimes within the same episode.

Steph died a hero by saving someone's life

Steph chose to burn to death willingly. An atrocious and ridiculous exit for one of its longest serving females.

Marsh. 13-04-2019 12:57 AM

In fact I'd say that storyline was when Old Hollyoaks died with Steph.

Denver 13-04-2019 12:57 AM

They let her go out a hero by saving children's lives when she didn't have long to live

No. They had her choose to sit in a burning building and fry. Again, SHE CHOSE TO BURN TO DEATH!

Can't imagine what cancer sufferers thought of that one.

Denver 13-04-2019 01:01 AM

She was ready to die

Yeah, ok. :joker:

So ready to die she chose to burn to death. She CHOSE. TO. BURN. TO. DEATH.

Honestly based on pure entertainment HO ****s on them all

Marsh. 13-04-2019 01:03 AM

And then they turned her husband into a rapist. Only on HO eh.

See, after I stopped enjoying it around 2010 it did enter a "so bad it's good" era but now it's so bad I can't watch it.

It’s improved massively - it’s genuinely good at the minute

I also feel this lady gets forgotten quite a bit, she was brilliant in Corrie. "Mad Maya"!

She was great until her third stint/return in 2012/2013 where they made her weak and basic. Her first two stints were amazing.
