Why when you reply with "no" is it OK, but not for me?

Get out of that one!

I know josy said she messagd you. But I will answer this too as just checked it out. Your no was deleted as it was quoting a deleted post. If theres more to a post than one word answers (Ie. Had you gone into detail of an opinion on the topic) then sometimes we manually delete the quoted post bit to leave your post standing..but your no would not have made any sense without the original post, which was deleted

I'd rather not be told!

Let me break the rules and be confused as **** when I'm banned not knowing truly why!

I may be in the minority here but I would rather have my infractions by PM. Its private then.

I think we should have a thread where we can contest our infractions. As a prospective mod (my goal is to be a mod by Christmas this year!) I simply CANNOT have any infractions, it ruins my CV AND reference! Consequently I need them removed ASAP!

Do you mean a fair trial, where we can defend ourselves by putting our case across?

That would be too civilised.

It isn't civilised at all Alf because we did have an appeals section at one point which we had to close because of how uncivilised people would become in there

Plus the exact same abuse goes on in PMs to staff currently. So this shows that the same issues would be there if the appeals forum as reopened.

Making infractions public isn't a good idea, and people would soon complain. Often an infracted post is part of a series of deleted posts, so the rest of the forum wouldn't be able to understand the context.

The appeals forum was more trouble than it was worth. It just encouraged complaints and people rarely admitted they'd done something wrong.

Livia 19-06-2019 01:44 PM

There would be uproar if there was a public thread and people could see some of the petty stuff people get infracted for.

Vanessa 19-06-2019 01:51 PM

Everytime I have a pm I think : what have I done? :joker:

Can you please at least, post all the reasons you can be infracted for...we can then make a tic list thread where we just tic the ones we have had one for.....ALL OF THEM THOUGH..even the weird ones.:joker:
