The guy is under the thumb. He needs to put his foot down and get his missus in line.

Did I read somewhere that they plan to only have 2 children, because of climate change. Harry didn't think this way before she came into his life

If Harry doesn't put his foot down, then the Queen should. .

Anything that gets people thinking or talking about issues that minority groups or the world as a whole face can only be a good thing surely? He has a massive platform to get his message across, whether you agree with it or not. In my opinion, this is what the Royals should be doing, not playing polo and going hunting. Get people talking about issues that affect us all - like it or not some people respect the Royal Family (mainly in other countries tbh) so if they take heed of what he is saying - surely it can only be a good thing, no?

Yes, im sure it would, so their reality then?!

Because their reality will be forever one of privileged, a life where money matters not.

Prince Charles has taken shtick for years because he is involved in the environment. Meghan does it and it's relevant.

How fickle are people?

I'm willing to bet more people are against Meghan not because she's mixed race, but because she's a shameless self-promotor in the California stylie.

Of course not but it certainly would give a person a different perspective

Harry doesn't strike me as being hen pecked at all. The reality is that he was one of the most eligible bachelors in the world. The choice was his. His wealth and status put him in a position of power, not Meghan. I think people choose to use the phrase hen pecked when they don't like the persons opinion and want to blame someone else for it. Like Harry isn't capable of his own mind and choices .... That's ridiculous given what he has done for various charities around the world with his brother.

Totally agree, he's her mouthpiece and very much under her thumb ,It wont be long before the Queen steps in as she has in the past ... Double standards on climate change ! Has she forgot her private jet to USA just for a baby shower ?

The point is racism effects all classes, imo anyway

Marrying an American gave me a different perspective but I don't feel qualified to apply my findings to everyone.

Well, as famous as you are on TiBB I presume in r/l you don't regularly do TV and Magazine interviews where they ask for your opinions? :p

Swan 31-07-2019 10:31 AM

My political Independence is free.........Wonder if the left would be for Harry hadn't his wife be black, and left herself.

Livia 31-07-2019 10:33 AM

I love Harry, not keen on Meghan. I wasn't bothered really when taxpayers footed the bill for their extensive house alterations despite the fact that they seem to be doing quite well financially. I don't need them to educate me on green issues, Harry's father has been doing that for decades. They say their child will be raised in private and yet they are quite happy to manipulate the press for their own issues.

I think the word you're looking for is 'infamous'. Or so it's being spun at the moment.

Here is your result:
Your data suggest a slight automatic preference for African Americans over European Americans.

user104658 31-07-2019 11:38 AM

People sure are angry about someone making a level-headed comment about subconscious racial bias. I mean I get that it's something that some will understand, and others might struggle to get their heads around but.... Outrage? Just why :joker:.

And the decision to ask the public purse for renovations will have been hers alone?...That was a genuine point for criticism the fact that happened but to point the finger at Meghan alone is silly.
As you say they are not the first royal to raise awareness so criticism there is unjustified.
Using this medium to do it is genius, the arts and fashion world have long been obsessed with young stylish royals. This is a way of giving back, they are modern royals who dont choose to sit in an ivory castle forever.
This Vogue cover has nothing to do with manipulating the press. The hacks themselves are the manipulators here.

OK how do you feel about that... did you realise you had a slight bias towards black people Niamh?
