I always prefer to watch Bond movies at the cinema.

Same here, I don't mind waiting even though I can completely understand the frustration of fans. But James Bond movies are always a nice experience to live at the cinema with great sound and popcorn!

Daniel Craig's fifth and final James Bond film, No Time To Die, has received rave reviews from critics.

The movie premiered at the Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday, following several delays prompted by the Covid pandemic.

In his five-star review of the film, Kevin Maher of The Times said: "It's better than good. It's magnificent.

"Craig is a towering charismatic presence from opening frame to closing shot, and he bows out in terrific, soulful, style."

But while most critics were positive, some suggested the film did not quite justify its 163-minute running time.

This reviews round-up is spoiler free.

In his own five-star review, The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw described the film as an "epic barnstormer" which delivers "pathos, action, drama, camp comedy, heartbreak, macabre horror, and outrageously silly old-fashioned action".

"It is of course a festival of absurdity and complication, a head-spinning world of giant plot mechanisms," he said, but concluded the film as a whole is "very enjoyable and gleefully spectacular".

Stephanie Zacharek of Time was broadly positive about the film, but suggested Craig's swansong didn't warrant its length.

"At two hours and 43 minutes, it's too long and too overstuffed with plot - more isn't always better," she said. "And it features one of the dullest villains in the series' history, played by Rami Malek in mottled skin and dumb silky PJs.

"But forget all that. No Time To Die, its flaws notwithstanding, is perfectly tailored to the actor who is, to me, the best Bond of all."

No Time To Die marks the culmination of an over-arching storyline that began with Craig's first Bond film Casino Royale, released in 2006.

In another five-star review, Robbie Collin of The Telegraph said: "Cary Joji Fukunaga's extravagantly satisfying, bulgingly proportioned last chapter to the Craig era, throws almost everything there is left to throw at 007 the series can come up with.

"We've been expecting you, Mr Bond, for quite some time," he added, "and what a joy and relief it is to have you back."

The ultimate Bond girl: Duchess of Cambridge dazzles in Jenny Packham sequins at No Time To Die premiere

Kate certainly had the Midas touch in her glamorous gold gown

Featuring an ethereal sheer cape overlay that cascaded over her shoulders, Kate teamed the dress with a sleek updo, statement gold earrings, nude pumps by Aquazzura and a glowing makeup look. ......She positively beamed on the red carpet, radiating confidence alongside her husband, who looked distinctly Bond-esque in a dapper black velvet tux and bow tie.
...........
Kate looks absolutely stunning.

I am looking forward to it.

But to say Daniel's finished with playing Bond isn't strictly true. No doubt he'll be playing similar guys in future action thrillers.

next bond hopefully being Idris Elba, i mean he already has experience into crime series such as Luther his big breakthrough role, and has experience from many blockbuster movies now (Prometheus, The Mountain between us, Star Trek beyond)

do think he would make still a same classy and charming 007 but for me he has more charisma than Daniel and that is also a factor why i want Idris

The movie is out tonight at modne, but too late for me. Lol I need to sleep!

Daniel Craig's final film as James Bond has notched up the highest opening weekend UK takings of any 007 movie.

Craig's fifth outing as 007 made £21m between Friday and Sunday, according to box office trackers Comscore.

It beat Skyfall's first weekend takings of £20.2m and Spectre's £19.8m. Those films sit at numbers two and three in the all-time UK box office chart.

Many in the industry are hoping No Time to Die will kickstart the box office after cinemas shut during the pandemic.

It was directed by US film-maker Cary Joji Fukunaga and also stars Lea Seydoux, Rami Malek and Lashana Lynch.
