He's still one of the most popular bonds, it obviously wasn't that damaging for the franchise and given you're not saying anything about Daniel Craig being older than Idris, this is obviously about race.

James Bond hasn't been played by a Scottish person for decades and Daniel Craig is as far removed from Bond than any other actor to play him but his run is still largely acclaimed and people consider Casino Royale and Skyfall to be two of the all time great bond films. I don't see you complaining about all these other changes they've made to the character.

It's all about race and nothing more.

Elba did his own stunts for Hobbs and Shaw, so I fail to see why you're bringing his age into it.

Why don't you just admit you don't want him to play Bond because he's black instead of pussyfooting.

This is a thread asking people who they think should be Bond, there's a fair few actors who won't be asked but you aren't trying to shoot those suggestions down because they are white actors. You aren't branding those white actors with personal jibes and nicknames either, only the sole black actor suggested for the role.

I love how everyone watches James Bond and just deals with the contrivances and the ridiculousness and the completely unrealistic aspect of it as a fun action movie.

But as soon as discussion of a black actor comes up we suddenly must adhere to being realistic, as a white man would have far more access to certain countries. :joker:
