The spectators can officially breathe a sigh of relief! For a while now, fans of Let's Dance have been wondering if and how the show will continue this year. After all, due to the current health situation, it is not easy to produce TV formats at the moment. Shows like The Super Talent, The Bachelor and Co. show that it's still possible – and "Let's Dance" also takes on the challenge!

RTL now confirms to Promiflash that the popular dance show will take place as usual in 2021. It is not known what the exact concept will look like and whether there will be more viewers in the studio this year. Even the candidates, who will make the parquet unsafe in a few weeks, are of course still topsecret. Meanwhile, a trailer for the new season is already running on TV.

Only so much is already certain: Professional dancer Isabel Edvardsson (38) will pause in the upcoming season. The reason: The pretty Swede is pregnant and expecting her second child. "Of course I'm a bit sad because 'Let's Dance' has been a big part of my life for 14 years. But the fact is that both are not possible at the same time: professional dancing on TV and heavily pregnant..." the expectant mom explained in the Promiflash interview.

if a audience, well this depends on few things

1) how lockdown looks like

2) if they can get quick-testing as a solution, or some ''family members of contestants in those 'bubbles' only''

also this one usually starts around february (long after dschungelcamp or dschungelshow what it is now as temporary replacement which always gets main focus at first)

WOW What The I-

Quote:

He was in front of the camera next to Angelina Jolie
Erol Sander was born in 1968 in Istanbul, Turkey. Together with his mother and sister he moved to Munich at the age of five. After graduating from high school, he studied business administration.

In 1992 he left the Bavarian metropolis to work in Paris and Milan as a model for luxury brands such as Armani, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabbana.

Sanders began his television career in the French series "Jamais deux sans toi", in which he appeared as Dominque Masson from 1996-1998. In Germany he appeared for the first time in 1999 as commissioner in "Sinan Toprak ist der Inbestechliche" on RTL and since then has become an integral part of the German television landscape with productions such as "Mordkommission Istanbul" (2008-2020, ARD) and more than 100 films. Sander is not only at home on television, but also on the theatre stages. During his participation at the Karl May Festival, they reached the audience record of more than 320,000 spectators. He made his Hollywood debut in 2004 alongside Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie in Oliver Stone's "Alexander" in the role of Prince Pharnakes. Director Oliver Stone is, by the way, the uncle of his wife Caroline Goddet, whom he met during his time in Paris.

Last year, Sander launched the "erolsanderbrand," which offers luxury cosmetics for men and women.

The 52-year-old lives in Starnberg with his wife and 10-year-old son Elyas. Son Marlon, 18 years old, is studying in Paris.

Above all, he hopes for further development from "Let's Dance": "Acting is my passion! Dancing is an enrichment for me as an actor. I find it exciting to learn to dance professionally and i am very much looking forward to my participation in Let's Dance."
OMG he played alongside Angelina Jolie, Colin Farrell, in same movie also worth mentioning alongside sir anthony hopkins then for that matter

:o :o :o

and him doing lets dance

Official RTL frontpage teaser article (my translating)

Quote:

These stars fight for the title "Dancing Star 2021"
On December 14, 2020, Jan Hofer took off his tie in the "Tageschau" and said goodbye to his audience for the last time. After 35 years, "Mr. Tagesschau" retired. But 2021 will certainly not be quiet for the 68-year-old, because for him there is a new big, very special project: He participates in "Let's Dance"!

And another little "Let' Dance" sensation is waiting for the audience. Auma Obama - the sister of Barack Obama - will also be on the dance floor in Cologne.

From February 26, millions of people will once again be sitting in front of the TV, keeping their "Let's Dance" stars on their thumbs. Fourteen celebrities will once again train to exhaustion, shed tears and have the sore muscles of their lives – for the 14th time in Let's Dance history! Who can follow in Lili Paul-Roncalli's footsteps? These are all the candidates who want to give their all. In the video we show them.

Jan Hofer begins his retirement as "Let's Dance" candidate
We can already reveal that much: Former "Tagesschau" chief spokesman Jan Hofer is the oldest candidate of this year's season at the age of 68. This is by no means a "disadvantage" – Jan is mega-sporty and top-fit. He is himself a big "Let's Dance" fan and wants to show a new side to himself after his career as a newsreader on German TV.

Simon Zachenhuber (22) is also the youngest candidate. He could be a lot ahead of the other candidates in terms of coordination and stamina, because as a professional boxer he already has that in his blood!

For the first German "Prince Charming" Nicolas Puschmann, a huge dream comes true as a "Let's Dance" candidate. "I am honoured that it has now been fulfilled!" the 29-year-old says. An additional special experience awaits him: Nicolas dances with a man. You can find out why he dances with a man here.

Actor Erol Sander will also sweep the RTL dance floor from February 26. The 52-year-old hopes for a lot of the challenge: "Dancing is an enrichment for me as an actor. I find it exciting to learn to dance professionally and i am very much looking forward to my participation in 'Let's Dance'."

Senna Gamour, Ilse DeLange and Lola Weippert are the first "Let's Dance" candidates
Senna Gammour also takes on the huge dance challenge in the 14th season. The 40-year-old has enough spotlight experience as a singer, presenter and comedian. And dancing is no stranger to her as a former "Monrose" member. Can she convince the "Let's Dance" jury in standard and Latin?

With her job as TVNOW presenter, Lola Weippert has already fulfilled a huge dream in 2020. And with "Let's Dance" the next adventure awaits at the beginning of 2021. The former radio host wants to prove that she has it not only on the mic, but also on the dance floor.

Singer Ilse DeLange (43) is also one of this year's celebrities. She loves dancing, but has so far swung the dance leg behind closed doors: "My close friends know how much I love dancing, but for many others it will certainly be a big surprise."

Auma Obama is all about the fun of the thing
Also present: Germanist and author Auma Obama (60), the sister of Barack Obama! She brings with her a quality that should give her an advantage: the journalist is already a passionate dancer. Will it benefit?

Also present: Ex-DSDS participant Vanessa Neigert! The singer and freshly baked mother-of-two has long been a big "Let's Dance" fan and is very much looking forward to the dance steps and the great costumes.

Who ever impresses on the dance floor with his unusual costumes and looks is "Formula 1" sports presenter Kai Ebel! The 56-year-old thinks: "I've run the world's racetracks, now I need parquet under my shoes instead of asphalt..."

Also present: the Icelandic football star Rrik Goslason (32) and Kim Riekenberg (26), who was traded by many as the "new Heidi Klum".

Mickie Krause and Valentina Pahde want to do their best at Cha Cha Cha, Rumba & Co.
This year also pop great Mickie Krause tries his way on the dance floor. His message, which he wants to convey: "I join "Let's Dance" to prove that you can dance with two left feet." Does he really have two left feet or unimagined talents slumbering him?

GZSZ actress Valentina Pahde is also on "Let's Dance" 2021! "Normally I slip into different roles, but now I'm going to be 100 percent Valentina Pahde and dance into the hearts of the audience of "Let's Dance"," promises the "Sunny" star. Her sister has already presented in 2017 in terms of dancing: Cheyenne Pahde took eighth place in the tenth season "Let's Dance". Find out how far Valentina will make it from February 26th!

"Let's Dance" starts on February 26th with the big get-to-know-you show on RTL. Parallel to the TV broadcast, the show will also be livestreamed on TVNOW.
