Don't watch the BBC Nicky. Leave it for those people who like it.

UK i no longer take serious now

You don't pay the TV licence, not sure you have the right to call for the BBC to be defunded.

The licence fee should be scrapped definitely for me.
I've thought that ever since I was old enough to know one was even needed.

I rarely watch the BBC.
I prefer Sky news to the BBC.

Things I enjoyed before are shocking know.
Question Time etc.

The BBC Parliament channel is something I watch usually when debates are on or for PMQs.

Other than that, the only thing I watch is Wimbledon, football and recently the Olympics.
Which I'm sure if the BBC weren't there, other channels would dive in for.

So I'd agree to the point to removing forced payment to the BBC by the public for certain.

Good to hear from you from outside the UK the views of the BBC too.

From its publicity and actions of the last few years at least.
It's incredible the licence fee has stayed in place quite frankly.

I mean the BBC is a load of crap for the most part, and a scam, but to say ITV/C4/C5 are perfect? Sure

ITV is average. C4 is pathetic with how they edit almost every older tv show. And C5 has about one good show a week.

Oh a separate note though, if enough people stop paying for the BBC they'll be forced to do something and make radical changes, for the better.

Eurosport aired the Olympics.

Yes indeed, you're right, I could have watched it there.

If I'm honest I have in the past been impressed by the BBC's coverage of sport.

Not in recent years however.
Even Match of the day now, is taken up with 2 other guests, all analysing what we've just watched on the highlights.

When more of the matches could be shown.
That really annoys me now.

It'll be the same this week when the premier League starts again on Friday.

it's all down to the rights that the beeb have. I'm sure they would show more games if they could, but they have been priced out the market. It's the same with all the sports these days, it's all about money

No offence Nicky but Channel 5 are far from perfect.

I remember watching the pilot of 15 Days on Channel 5 and along with their butchery of BB, it taught me to never watch a Channel 5 Show ever again.

Tbf the BBC expecting people to pay a TV license when a lot of people don't even watch their channel is disgraceful conduct.

The BBC should use the HBO model in the US.

Great debate today on ITV about
the Future of the BBC.

BBC Text :
[Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries will freeze
the BBC licence fee for two years.

"Tense" negotiations between the
government and the BBC over the annual fee
until the end of 2027 have concluded,
the paper says.
Ms Dorries has decided to keep
the licence fee at £159 for the next two years,
the paper reports, meaning the corporation
