It may be another 3 weeks now if he is late!!

And the woman who did the scan said we could go home so we got all our stuff together only for the reception to say we had to wait for a doctor(which took 2 hours) for him to say we can go home. Oh great how helpful

So all we have come away with from the hospital is most likely coronvirus and they are all saying it is good news. No ts not when we had every preparation in place!!!

Now no matter what I say to my wife I just keep getting sharp shouts back. She doesnt think this affects me

Tragic..

Poor marsh.:ninja2:

Very stressful my wife has stopped speaking to me. I havent been anything but nice but she has took it hard I think. We were all prepared for him to come today. Even had to have her mum stop over to look after the other kids(might be illegal at the moment but is essential as kids arent allowed in the ward and they are only toddlers!) So that was for nothing

And yes tonight I have started with a cough so Im a bit panicky

Strictly Jake 01-04-2020 06:29 PM

So whats everyones predictions now. I say 14th April. 8.10

He is definitely going to be heavier than that. My daughter was 6lb 5oz. My son was 9lb. But he was two weeks late. So if he is a week late I will go for 8lb at least

Aw Jake, its so tough. Your wife would have thought she would finally meet him and probably feel a bit more comfortable so it will be a massive disappointment for her now that you have to wait. I know its hard for you too but she is hormonal and has been carrying him all this time.

Don't worry about your cough, am sure the incubation period of corona is longer than a few hours, probably more stress related.

Get the kids to bed and get your feet up. Enjoy the peace whilst you can, your little man will be here in no time.

Best of luck Jake, I'm sure your wife doesn't mean to take it out on you and I'm sure it's very upsetting but it's tough going at 9 months in, carrying a baby and hormones are crazy.

Oh No !:worry: , damn this virus pandemic it's soo depressing .

This is the problem with child care , and social distancing in your situation. All you can do is try and stay as careful and clean as you can keep washing hands , and it's not silly to wear gloves or face masks either just to be on the safe side . I never thought it would get this serious but it has .

Maybe your wife just needs time and space to adjust , and her hormones will be playing up . But at this time ignoring you ISN'T the answer . As she'll NEED to communicate with you , after all you're there for her and as you said it's not like it isn't affecting you either  . you're BOTH going through this together .

I guess now i will predict that the baby will arrive 15th April and will weigh 7lbs 3oz , i'm probably way off LOL . Anyway Best wishes Jake you'll get through this i'm sure x .
