Oh are they including CBB iconic

Greg! 13-05-2020 12:30 PM

I'a tad annoyed they're not including C5. The era obvs has many flaws but quite a few iconic eps as well

What CH5 deserve after hardly recognising the CH4 era

James 13-05-2020 12:54 PM

I wonder if they will show more than one episode per part of the series, as the original Channel 4 highlight shows were shorter (30 minutes?) than later series.

NICKP 13-05-2020 01:01 PM

This has to be the first step towards reviving the show

Same tbh.

LukeB 13-05-2020 01:10 PM

I don’t think channel 5 moments are needed. We see all the classic c5 moments loads of times on tiktok/twitter.

I wonder if we will see stuff like fight night and kinga and her bottle.

PR implied both series would be shown, so we're chasing for some confirmation from C4. Would be strange to ignore C5's series completely, especially when they've got Rylan involved.

I had a look around and this was the schedule back in 2000.

When is Big Brother on television?

The first Big Brother programme is on Channel 4 on Tuesday 18th July from 9.00-10.00pm. On Friday 21st there is a half-hour programme at 6.30pm. From Monday 24th there will be programmes broadcast six days a week. On Mondays there is an hour long programme from 8.00-9.00pm. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays there is a half-hour programme at 11.00pm. On Fridays, starting from July 28th, there are two half-hour live studio shows at 8.30pm and 11.00pm hosted by Davina McCall.

These will show the build up to, and the actual eviction of one of the participants… If you miss a show, don't worry, every Saturday you can catch up on the events of the past week in an hour long omnibus, and of course you can find all the news of what's been happening on the website.
From the 'Help' link here - https://web.archive.org/web/20000815...ames_news.html

So mostly it was half an hour at 11:00pm and no actual highlights were shown on Saturdays and Sundays.

Oh yeah true

Denver 13-05-2020 01:57 PM

We want just 10 straight episodes that Katreya features the most in

Dogeatdog 13-05-2020 02:29 PM

Will be quite nice to see some kinda BB on TV again. Looking forward to this

if they do a clip show I imagine clips at least from c5 will be shown? just no full episodes

That’s actually a lot? I was expecting a lot less.

It's 10 full length episodes by the sounds of it as well, no clip show at all.

Nancy. 13-05-2020 03:52 PM

Oh wow, this is strange, but as others have said, maybe they're testing the waters to see how it goes.

I'm currently watching BB15 with Helen Wood, and really enjoying it so far. (I didnt see it when it aired).

Morgan. 13-05-2020 05:36 PM

They had a whole section talking about this on Radio 1 earlier with clips and everything nnn

thebro2k20 13-05-2020 05:37 PM

just saying but channel 4 did a one off special of the crystal maze for its anniversary and ordered a new set to be built and a series straight after due to the popularity

Gstar 13-05-2020 09:01 PM

I was a bit surprised when I found out channel 5 wasn’t included, but then I thought:

- Hardly getting the cast right in civilian
- Encouraging the crowd to chant in evictions and interviews
- Ridiculous nomination rule break punishments
- Allowing outside contact
- Mostly crap shopping tasks
- Made Marcus unbearable
- Millions of dumb twists
- Cramming three series in one year
- Axing live feed

10 days worth of Big Brother. That’s a lot on a channel that got rid of it.

madman411 14-05-2020 04:35 AM

So excited for this. Hope they'll release dates and times soon so I can set a reminder.

Gutted Rylan is in this and not Emma. His presence really isn't necessary.

Same. Emma loves the show as much as him but people don’t realise cos she doesn’t constantly mouth off about it on twitter
