What I want to know is why, when these events happen, the suspect is always on some kind of ‘watch list’ or already known to the police?

Surely if they aren’t of British nationality, they should be sent back where they travelled from? Especially if they had already been in jail for something like assault?

There’s so many good and genuine people that could have a better life in the UK and then there’s people like those who jeopardise it for everyone

...Withano ...with random terrorist killings like this, we always think of how it could be any of us, enjoying a day out etc...but when the images are of familiar places we frequent as well ...and when the victims are connected in some way as well..?...it just chills right through us...I’m sorry for how you’re feeling right now on a personal level and I’m so, so sorry for the loss to your friends who knew the victims.....

It’s interesting to see that MI5 knew all about him but are adamant they didn’t have ENOUGH evidence to act upon .

They should be made to release the evidence they DID have on him for us to see ... AFTER the court case

He was out of prison for just 16 days after being released after 7 months into a 27 month sentence, certainly seems to be a pattern with the last 3 attacks

That would be the ideal wouldn't it, he should have lost his asylum status once convicted of a crime, the system is far too soft

Ammi 22-06-2020 08:35 AM

...it’s a ‘jigsaw puzzle’ that I’m sure we’ll become aware of the missing pieces of it as to why he was released early and how the ‘public danger’ of his release was obviously not being recognised to be the threat it was with the reality it became...I’ve read very little about him, other than his mental health issues being inferred as possibly why he was released early from his prison sentence and also mentioned again as a factor in these horrendous acts...Just so much for the families of his victims to be given answers for and too much missing information atm...making it hard to form any judgement for me personally...

...another whose life was taken has been named as Joe Ritchie-Bennett, 39, an American from Philadelphia...he had lived in the U.K. for 15 years but his family are still in Philadelphia...

There are over 20,000 people on the list. More than 3000 of them are seen as extremely dangerous.

How are we going to follow and track them all?

Why would the security services want to show the public the list or anything about it? How would you know what was evidence and what wasn't?

Well they decided that there wasn’t enough evidence to ‘really’ worry about someone who went and attacked and slaughtered a load of innocent people...I’d like to know what they DID know about him ...

It'd be much safer all round if a lot of the more dangerous people on the watch list ... ahem, "met with accidents". They're liabilities and a drain on public money and resources, so just get rid.

They had him on File
after making Terrorist Threats online.

But did not have staff to watch him.

His hands were painted red , they say.

I doubt the security services think you have a high enough clearance to be sending stuff to you.

They say that, but you could get attacked by anybody on the street, you walk past people you don’t know every day, why are those people any scarier?... one guess

I feel more unsafe for myself and my family due to Twitter accounts like this raising blatant Racism and Islamaphobia than I would in anyway from migrants.

There was a professor on Radio 5 this morning and he said that due to the decades of illegal immigrants slipping onto our shores we really have NO idea what our population is .

for sure they might be 40 normals bods looking for that better life, but equally they could be 40 bods out to cause harm, would you let stranger through your front door no questions asked? No point being naive about it, you have to look at life in a balanced way...not put your hands over your eyes and hope for the best

That's not good.
I hope it improves.

I wouldn’t let any stranger into my house, the question I was asking, was why are these strangers scarier than the average stranger on the street? There’s one very big reason.
