the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another. Saying all people who do not wear a mask out in public is a murderer is ridiculous |
Choosing to not wear one because you haven’t been told you have to by law, I’m sorry, that’s dumb, we all know what’s happening and how the virus spreads, we know to cover our mouths or our nose when we cough or sneeze in general, I don’t see the logic in thinking masks don’t help.

£100 fines for those who don't wear masks in shops..should be higher imo like £1000 or more.
|
You do all know that even if you get covid and recover you can catch it again.
|
Yes I wear onebecause I feel safer
|
I wear one in shops but not when I'm in public/walking (although I'm never in crowded places and haven't been using public transport). I have one in my pocket though so if I needed to wear it I would.
|
So you guys don't need to wear masks at all until the 24th? No wonder Scotland is leading the English.

Not when I'm outside.
Only when I'm in a shop or public transport. |
To be honest, I haven't worn one the last 3 or 4 times I've gone shopping. The number of infections in my area was recently named the joint-lowest for new cases, and whilst I did at the peak (March-May) I've felt myself gradually slipping since then. I'll reverse that, obviously.

I just hope people don’t become complacent about distancing and think that wearing a masks negates them from the need to distance |

...and this government has been so inconsistent and ‘selective’ in its advice...masks are not effective or necessary because the ones that may have any effectiveness are required by the NHS obviously...so no to masks.../...we want industry to get back and social distance will be impossible in many areas if that happens, so please wear a mask and then proximity can be ignored... ...but yeah, I agree on the whole with what you say...people aren’t ignorant, they’re just confused and confusion leads to fear and anxieties as well... |
Spare a thought for all the deaf people that go shopping and rely on lip reading to communicate

We're not alone in this confusion tbf, it was only very recently that the WHO changed their advice after saying all through the pandemic that you should only wear a mask if you're unwell or caring for someone. France are also quite recent converts to masks after not recommending it for months, hardly anyone wears one still in Australia and Scandinavia and its caused a big debate in the US as well |

...when I was running the other day, I saw someone having a driving lesson...instructor and learner both in a small confined space with no windows open and both wearing a mask...it freaked me a little but it’s also the kind of ‘industry’ that can’t socially distance, it’s impossible so that’s would I mean by ‘enabling proximity to be ignored’...etc... |
In shops and on public transport yep. When I’m just out and about walking in the open or seeing friends then no.
|
...the shopping and venturing out more than say a month/two months etc ago..?..obviously there is an increase in shoppers there because non essentials weren’t open then but are now...an increase and change in shops being open would (..for me..)...mean an increase and change in mask wearing .../...things don’t remain static so are inaccurate to compare....
|
No
but i never go anywhere anyway also won't wear a mask when we go hiking next week or so (we are more waiting for some slightly better weather, more sun) |
Only when I have to.
